Hi there! I'm Vera, originally from Chicago, Illinois. These days, Iâm enjoying a slower, more grounded pace of life after many years working as a nurse. I love spending time outdoors and gardening in my backyard. Hosting has become a new passion of mine. It's a way to meet interesting people from all walks of life and create a welcoming space for others to relax and recharge.
A few years back, I found myself in a season of deep caregiving. My mother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, and at the same time, I was raising my young children. I had to step away from work to focus on caring for both parents and kids full-time. It was one of the most challenging periods of my life, but also one of the most meaningful. I learned how important it is to have a calm, comforting environment, whether you're healing, growing, or just trying to make it through the day.
That experience helped shape how I approach hosting now. I want guests to feel truly cared for, to have a place that feels like a breath of fresh air, and to know theyâre welcome just as they are.
