Newly renovated one story home on the Colorado River. Comfortable open floor plan with lots of sleeping arrangements. Washer and dryer located in the new bathroom. New bathroom has a fabulous walk-in shower. Wifi and Smart TVs. Not on stilts, so you're not going up and down stairs!!

Relax and enjoy the river views from the newly covered patio deck.

Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. Easy access to Gulf and Bays.

Private lighted pier with cleaning table.

Matagorda Harbor is easy 2.5 miles away and another Public launch is next to Waynes Bait Camp half mile away. There are several shops and restaurants within a few min drive or 5 min walk to Snappers Restaurant across the slough (bridge to cross is near the restaurant).

Coral Reef

Perfect spot! Water access close in every direction or flip on the lights and fish from your own back yard. It had everything we needed to make for a great weekend trip!

One of the best-equipped kitchens I've ever seen in a rental! Everything we needed and more!!! The kids had a blast "choosing" their room and the fishing dock with lights was great for all of our fishermen. Caught flounder, catfish, and several crabs. Close to the beach and to town. Love the covered and shaded back porch and enjoyed a lot of family time there. The ground-level house was perfect for us and Parkinson's friendly . Would stay here again.

Great little house on the Colorado river that has its own pier for fishing and crabbing with lights and cleaning station. The house is nice with plenty of sitting space and beds

Perfect Getaway

This property had such a warm and inviting feel to it. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed plus some. Plenty of sleeping arrangements but wasn't crowded. We loved the porch swing and the men loved the dock. There was plenty of parking as well.

Clean, quiet, caught quite a few fish.

The Coral Reef house is a great spot for a quick getaway to chill, watch the boats go by in the river, and catch a few fish. My family spent pretty much the entire stay out on the fishing dock. Be sure to follow the directions in the instructions for your stay. Google Maps will try to send you through a locked gate :( Also be prepared for mosquitos. But that's all part of the adventure, right?

Fishing camp

NIce place along the Colorado river for fishing. House was very clean with lots of sleeping options.The entrance road was a little difficult to find at first. We didn't have great weather to go to the beach, but overall we had a great weekend getaway.

Place is mostly for men -fishing which they enjoyed but didn’t catch much. Not sure as female I would come back. Ladies did go to Bayside 1 day to shop but didn’t want to drive 20-30 mins to get to shopping every day. Bar close by so music was loud. PreferenceAdd hooks in king bedroom-no closet or dresser to put clothesNo private /on suite master bathroom(whichwasn’t listed but wanted)Spare bathroom lock is difficult to lock n unlock-needs handle on doorSpare bathroom-prefer to have hand towel rack House slants -so feel unstable 3rd bedroom has no door -curtain over doorwayMany boards on deck are rotten and unsafeKitchen -prefer plastic utensils for cooking

Great fishing and cold AC

These were the two things this house full of young men and men praised about this spot. The house was comfortable and cozy. The two mom's spent most of their time on the back porch enjoying the river views while the teens and adult men fished and crabbed. The house had everything we needed minus a cheese grater, but we were able to easily pick one up at the local Dollar General.Some things to note. There is not a full grocery store in the town, but there are some good resturants. We shopped at Bay City which is about 30 minutes north of Matagorda. It was memorial weekend so there were many people in the area. The music played into the evening at Snappy's behind the house so if you are looking for complete quiet this may not be your spot. The noise did not bother any of our party though. If you bring a boat just know that we saw Texas Wildlife stop several for safety checks throughout the weekend.
