We really appreciated how clean and updated the house was. All the beds were very comfortable. The master bedroom has a king size bed, which was wonderful for our family member who is extremely tall. We used the washer and dryer, which were modern and large capacity. In fact, all the appliances were clean, modern, and what we would purchase for our own house. The host was extremely considerate and proactive, checking in to make sure we were enjoying our stay and offering help if we needed anything. The house has great lighting and plenty of natural light yet stayed comfortably cool even in the summer heat. The neighborhood was quiet and the backyard felt spacious and private. We initially missed the note about an extra guest fee for more than two people. That might have influenced whether we chose a hotel with breakfast or a different rental at a similar final price. In the end, we were very happy we stayed here.

Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cleanliness, updated amenities, comfortable beds, and spacious backyard. We’re especially glad the king-size bed worked well for your tall family member and that you found the appliances and home comfortable throughout your stay. We also appreciate your feedback about the extra guest fee. We understand how an additional cost can affect the overall value comparison when choosing between a rental and a hotel, and we’ll take your comments into consideration. Most of all, we’re so happy that you were ultimately very pleased with your stay. It was a pleasure hosting your family, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime!

Great place to stay!

Our family of 5 stayed here in March 2024. The property owner had great communication and was very accommodating. The inside of the home appeared to be recently remodeled and was very clean. The location was close to the airport and all of the attractions we slanted to see (space center, Kemah boardwalk, Galveston, zoo, etc). Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Very quiet neighborhood. Close to NASA- 12 min away, the mall and grocery shopping- 7 minutes, Kemah, and close to hobby airport. Easy access. Very nicely remodeled and updated. We only stay in places with a king bed and this one had it. We had to cook for Thanksgiving and this place had pots.

Good

For the short while I was there it was good, with the exception of the shower rod scare and the A/C struggling to blow everything was lovely.

Thank you for your stay. Not sure about what happened to shower rod, did it fell off? It is not screw fixed on wall. Not suppose to resist strength. I will let Plummer to check on it. For AC, it is a new unit, I will let technician to check why it is struggling to blow? Thank you for your comment. We will do better to win your 5 star for your next stay.

Clean, comfy, everything you need

We had a clean and comfy stay in this property. Everything we needed was in there (coffee, cutlery, towels, etc). The place was clean and the beds are soft, equipped with nice linens and pillows. The host was very responsive. We had an easy check-in and check-out. Few minutes drive to NASA Johnson Space Centre. Easy drive from IAH airport using freeways and tollways. Costco and several restaurants and shops in the area. Quiet and safe neighborhood. It was a lovely stay! I’d recommend this property!

Space City Getaway

The location was very convenient and a quick drive to the Houston Space Center. The home was updated, nicely decorated, and comfortable for our family. The hosts were very helpful and friendly! Upon arriving, we didn't know we were supposed to check the VRBO app again for an updated code, but we were able to speak directly to the host. Our only concern was that the cleaning agents used on the floors left a very strong sweet, floral smell, almost as if it was covering up something else, especially in the Master Bedroom. That being said, we would recommend this home to others.
