We had an amazing time! Everything was perfect! Steve was very kind and was there to welcome us upon our arrival. He showed us around the cabin and how to work everything. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The beds were soft, the kitchen had everything (including a crockpot), and the hot tub was an added bonus for the frigid temps! We were close to everything we wanted to do, and it was very quiet! We were a family of 7 traveling with two kids and they loved it too!
We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. House was just as described. Enjoyed the huge deck, rocking chairs and swing. Pleasantly surprised by a huge pair of Elk that came into our side yard. Host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Very clean. Mattress and linens in the master suite were wonderful.
The grandkids liked the nearby playground. We had everything that was needed for preparing meals. The porch is spacious. Walking distance to downtown. Extremely clean. Cozy.
Beautiful home, very peaceful and quiet. All the items we needed were available, even had extra drinking water available for us. Location was very easy to get to.
The communication with the host was overall good. However we did have some issues. I found it strange for the host Steve to be at the cabin to introduce us to the property when we arrived. He took us in and showed us the property like we werenât able to do that for ourself. The first issue was Steve let me know I didnât pay for enough people to stay we have 5 adults and 4 kids even though the cabin sleeps 9. I booked this cabin through a link that Steve sent me after asking a question about the property. I was not aware it was a per person charge when you advertise a cabin sleeps 9. He was trying to charge us an additional fee for the kids. He wanted cash which was another 200. He said if we went through Vrbo there would be other fees. I was not happy about this so I questioned it and he discounted this âfeeâ. What else was I supposed to do other than to pay when we drove 3 hours and had family with us. Now letâs get to the other problems. The first thing we found upon arrival was left over opened juice and milk left in the fridge. Iâve never stayed at a Vrbo but no one wants someone elseâs opened leftovers left behind. The next thing we found were mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers where utensils, oven mitts & cloths were stored. The cabin also has a lot of cob webs and dust that needs to be cleaned. The master bathroom shower is leaking and there is mold between the shower and cabinet. Be aware of this cabin. Iâm sure there are nicer places to stay for the same price.
This cabin is absolutely beautiful & in a wonderful location. Our time in maggie valley was incredible & the host was really helpful/ informative about the area. The beds are so comfortable, water pressure in the shower is amazing! Hot tub is awesome! No complaints from our crowd. We saw Elk walking in our backyard 3 different days!! This cabin is maybe 20 minutes from cherokee, less that 5 minutes from a beautiful waterfall (Soco falls) we really enjoyed the visit!
Good - inside was cozy and electric fireplace was a nice relaxing touch
Bad - single bed upstairs is extremely uncomfortable and could not be used
Ugly - yard is extremely small - no room for dogs to roam and/or run/play
Steve was a great host and extremely responsive.
This was a great place. The location and space were perfect. The manager was very kind and quick to respond. The only issues we had were ants in the hot tub. He couldnât help that. He offered to come and drain and refill it. But Iâm not sure that would help. They came out of the jets when we turned them on. And the stove was slow cooking which was odd because it was a gas stove. We cooked a lot of meals but we managed. If our same size group travels there again we would definitely stay. In fact we asked if they managed a larger cabin for next year. Unfortunately for us they do not.
This was a nice pet friendly location with plenty of room and access to places to go hiking in the region. Kitchen could use a few more accoutrements. Very well-maintained.
