Great house!! The hill to the house is challenging especially trying to get out of the drive way. We had a mini van (group of 8) and it wasn’t easy. You manually need to turn on the A/C. it does get hot in the rooms at night. Bring your own soap and laundry detergent you get enough 2 days. The kitchen is NOT well equipped with supplies/ storage containers. Owner was responsive when I contacted him on a few items.

Thank you for staying at Casa Claida and for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the home overall, and I truly appreciate your note about my responsiveness.
Casa Claida is set on a beautiful hillside, which is what allows for the spectacular ocean and jungle views. The access road is fully paved, and as is common in Costa Rica, an SUV is generally recommended for maximum ease and comfort. We also provide detailed guidance in our check-in instructions to make entering and exiting the driveway smoother.
For comfort, the villa is equipped with A/C throughout the open-concept great room and all bedrooms. Each unit has its own touchscreen thermostat that guests can adjust at any time. Ceiling fans are also available in the living room and bedrooms.
Regarding supplies, we provide shampoo, conditioner, natural soap bars, and hand soap, as well as laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, dish soap, trash bags, and food plastic wrap. If a group uses more than average during their stay, additional items are easy to restock nearby — and when you reached out, I arranged for extra supplies to be delivered.
Lastly, the kitchen is fully stocked, and while we do provide storage containers, we will be adding more going forward.

Mike & Mel's April getaway
Would Highly recommend this property. But beware the road is steep to get to but the home & views are worth it. Keep in mind there is Not a TV on the property so if you watch tv in the evening be ready to use the laptop/tablet.
Location is perfect 5 min to the beach & 10 min. to Jaco. Photos dont do it justice. This home will exceed your expectations.
