MEETS THE NEED

Mr Bob as the neighbor calls him is great!Very responsive and accommodating. The place was clean and meet our needs for lodging. The neighbors were very friendly and helped us with our bags. I rate this place a 7 out of 10 because there was a small love seat in the kitchen and that was the only area for fellowship, other than gathering in a bedroom. The smell of weed from outside gave me a headache but (realize that this is out of the hosts control, I’m only mentioning it so that future tenants can make their decision on whether to book or not.Beds were very comfortable and the space was ample. There are three flights of steps (front porch, the main entrance area and then the landing to the living, sleeping and kitchen space). Appliances are modern and clean. Bathroom is nice with large rain shower head and hot water. I would recommend this place because it has all of the basics and it’s convenient to downtown but I will say also that this is not a place for small children. It’s on a busy street, it’s across from a convenience store and it’s in an active neighborhood; police/ambulance sirens were common. Suggestions:1.Back porch steps/railing need repair asap. 2. Add Full length mirror in each bedroom or at least the bathroom 3. Add Soap dish in shower 4. Need drinking glasses(had cups but no glasses)

Refund

This property is nasty. We didn’t stay at the property because it was so bad. The bed had a sink hole in the middle. Mold in the house. Dirty bathroom and stairway. Everything looks like something off a horror movie. The host want return VRBO or my messages. Please, please don’t waste your money. I have about 20 pictures of the mess.

Not at all what I thought

Upon pulling up to the unit, my family felt unsafe (traveling with small child due to hospital visit). We ended up staying in a hotel. The unit had a strong, unpleasant smell that could not be ignored. You have to enter bedroom to get to the kitchen (which is also the “living area” and was very misleading in the pictures). The unit is very dark (only two small windows in each bedroom and I felt very closed in! I was happy though that the host agrees to refund my money for 2 out of the 3 nights we had planned on staying.

Out of town artists

Bob was amazing to work with. The property was perfect for visiting guests in town to perform in The Wilmington Ballet's The Nutcracker at The Playhouse on Rodney Square. Everything appeared as it did in photos, was clean and comfortable. Bob was an excellent host meeting us at the property for a late check in to be sure all was well. Definitely will use again.

We did not stay. we did not feel safe, the overall smell we were all e=allergic to. We couldn't run away fast enough. want a refund.

Excellent

Stayed at Bobs property while doing some work at a local Amazon. The property was great and clean and just how the pictures showed. Bob was an amazing host and always had fast replies when text abt anything I had to ask. The only issues I had was with the neighborhood (something I know he has no control over) I had some food stolen but when Bob was made aware he was very adamant that he pull the video feed from the ring doorbell to check and see who it was.

affordable place, but there were issues

The property was advertised as having 1 full bath and 1 half bathroom. There was not a half bathroom in our apartment unit. That made a big difference for our stay. In addition, the heat did not work for the first two nights of a 4 night stay. On the bright side, the property manager was accessible and kind. Unfortunately, he was not able to locate anyone on Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day to get the heat working. I don't hold that against him.
