New Castle Home

Beautiful house! Large house with plenty of room for everyone! Great deck and basement area. Property Manager was accomodating and professional. Would definitely stay again!

Stay was not so good…house had strange noises, mattresses very old, house could use a hood cleaning, left for an event when we returned there was a man’s cap and shirt on kitchen counter and it’s seems as though cameras are hidden throughout the house.

There are absolutely no hidden cameras in the house. That claim is completely bogus and it would be unethical. There are only security cameras on the outside of the house in the front and the rear. This guest was upset because I refused to offer a discount. They claimed to hear noises in the house, but in all of the years that I have been a host I have never had a guest claim to hear noises/voices and demand a discount because of that. Prior to me refusing to give a discount they stated that everything was to their satisfaction and that the house was spotless. Also, the bed mattresses are new. I brought it to their attention that there was likely too many people in the house due to the amount of trash that was left behind and the fact that they used 9 rolls of toilet paper over just a 4 day stay.

We rented this house for a lax tournament weekend and it was great. Very spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Location is great also. Great communication from the owner throughout. I’d be happy to rent again in the future. Short drive to great restaurants too.

I was one of six people slated to stay at this location for four nights. I have pictures. Sheets did not appear to have been changed and debris on floors, thick dust on furniture and blinds. We left after the first night without a full refund.

I have always taken pride in providing my guests with a great experience and take full accountability for any and all issues that guest may encounter. However, this guest is not being truthful. They had to check in late because of a mistake that I made with my calendar. Because of that inconvenience I gave them the first night's stay for free. Every bed had brand new sheets and the house was spotless. She was upset because I did not offer a full refund because of the delayed check-in time and decided to be difficult throughout. I completely understand the frustration which is why I gave them a free night. But to come on here and flat out lie is not right.

Wedding Weekend

To be honest we really didn't spend a lot of time in the house. It was our son wedding weekend so you can understand we were out and about. The house was as advertised, space and location was what we needed. Yes we would stay again.

First time excellent choice

The property was better than the photo's showed. Everything was just what I needed and i was very pleased with the communication from the owner that gave me details to be aware of. I was so------overjoyed and pleased that I'm willing to consider it again at the same time for future years. The property was in a very nice community very close to shopping stores for my needs. I give it 5 stars "all the way"

Do yourself a favor and keep scrolling

Property was good, property manager needs a lesson in professionalism, respect and courtesy. Property advertised to have theatre room, which the surround sound nor DVD player worked. Contacted the PM and after 24 hours he replies back that he is out of town but will send me instructions. Never got the instructions. Contacted the PM and requested a 10% discount due to this advertised feature not working. He offers a 5% refund and sends the following message..and I quote. “You do realize that even the $30 refund is a courtesy right? So, say thank you and let’s move on.” Wow! Courtesy? Try good business, try making the customer happy. It’s been over two weeks and I still don’t have my “courtesy” refund. I have been using VRBO for years and never had such poor rapport with a property manager. Will I stay here again NO! So do yourself a favor, move on and find another property.

I pride my self on professionalism and courtesy. This guest was unbelievably disrespectful. As he stated, this is a good property. He contacted me and told me that he didn't know how to work the surround sound speakers (The sound was coming from the TV) so I walked him through how to do it. He still couldn't do it and became upset. After he checked out I found that he had disconnected some wires and this was the reason he couldn't get it to work. So basically, he couldn't figure out how to fix what he broke. He contacted me days after he checked out demanding a 10% refund for something that was his fault. I compromised and offered 5%. That wasn't good enough so I reminded him that it was in fact a courtesy discount. This was the ONLY issued. I will not tolerate disrespect from anyone so this is where we are.
