Les propriétaires de cette maison de 5 ans continuent à l'améliorer chaque année. Leurs touches incluent la NOUVELLE peinture, les sols, la salle �� manger, le mobilier de salon, des tapis, des télévisions à écran plat dans chaque chambre à coucher, des sièges à l'extérieur, une terrasse de niveau 1 agrandie, une table de pique-nique et plus!

La peinture fraîche pour la saison 2018 et les NOUVEAUX PLANCHERS au niveau 2. Nouveaux matelas queen, nouvel ensemble de lits superposés duo, nouvelle table et chaises de salle à manger, nouveaux meubles de salon, terrasse prolongée au premier niveau avec table de pique-nique et autres sièges, nouvelles télévisions à écran plat DirectV dans chaque chambre. Les nouveaux propriétaires ont apporté de nombreuses améliorations au mobilier et à la décoration! Ressens l'amour! :-)

Beautiful, relaxing vacation spot

We had a wonderful time at this great beach house! The location is perfect - fairly secluded and quiet, but a very easy walk to the beach. The house is clean and well equipped. The pool and hot tub were both great. Sitting on one of the many decks and listening to the waves while horses wandered below was definitely my favorite part.

Just what we wanted!

Our family’s 10th visit to the 4x4! This house is wonderful! It is well cared for, charming, super clean, a well stocked kitchen and great house amenities. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the screened in porch. We were delighted when the horses visited a couple of times. It was a fabulous stay! Definitely will stay with Summer Paws again!

THANKS for your review. I remember we had some trouble with the hot tub being in economy mode during your stay. That happens when you press more than one button at a time!! So it's just a matter of using one finger on one hand to change the heat/jets, just so it doesn't accidentally get put in Economy mode. Maybe we should have a placard for when it accidentally happens. Pool operation on the other hand is definitely not something we should have anyone but the licensed pool operator handle. I hope you didn't encounter any trouble with the pool! Anyway, we hope you enjoyed your stay and will come again!!

Relaxing Beach Getaway !

Rental was very clean and came equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. It is situated one row back from the beach, which, with being able to drive and park on the beach is not an issue at all. So handy to be able to load up the truck with beach gear and drive 1 minute to the beach. Carova cottages was fast to respond with any questions I had regarding our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach rental that is pet friendly. Our first time at Carova Beach and Summer Paws exceeded our expectations !

Summer Paws - a great escape to relax!

This was our first visit to Carova Beach, and we loved it! We loved driving on the beach, the sand roads, and seeing the wild horses. They were in the yard everyday. You won't need to go on a horse tour if you stay at this property! :) It's a big plus to have the private pool to break up the day at the beach (especially with 2 kids)! Our Golden Retreiver and Bernedoodle loved their first trip to the beach and borrowing Saylor's Place for the week. It's a great place to truly relax and unwind!

Everything You Need for a Perfect Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Convenient and easy to make a reservation and communicate any questions/requests with the host. Received all the information needed to know exactly what to bring, arrival/departure expectations, and how to use the amenities. Cannot speak highly enough of the host and cannot think of a more prefect way to spend a week on the beach than SummerPaws - 5 minute walk (you can drive as well) to watch a sunrise or a sunset on the beach or otherwise enjoy the ocean; 5 to 7 minute walk to the local volunteer fire department to buy t-shirts, ice and other goodies; a hot tub and a pool for those times when you feel like staying closer to the house; a fantastic screened-in outdoor eating area off the uppermost level (enjoyed most of our meals there); and, most importantly for us, SummerPaws is a focal point for wild horse activity! The horses love hanging out all around the yard at SummerPaws. Was amazing! Highly, highly recommend SummerPaws as the place to stay for anyone wanting to vacation on Carova Beach.

An Awesome Vacation!!!

Reviewer Comments: We rented this house last-minute after our vacation in Avon was cancelled a day before our check-in date due to the disastrous power outage. I am so glad we happened upon this place. The house was very clean, the pool and hot tub were awesome after returning from the beach. And horses, if you're into them, every day, all day. This place must have the sweetest grass in OBX. It got to the point where they were 10 feet from us while we would grill every night. And the entire surface on the ground level under the house is a wood deck - great place to hang out. If you're worried that the house isn't on the beach, don't be. It is a close walk.I have nothing but positive things to say about the house and our stay. And Laura was awesome to deal with as well! Very friendly and responsive.

That lower level deck is getting RAVE reviews. I saw a corn hole game set up on the front part of that deck. The picnic was set up on the picnic table and the grill was smelling like heaven. The kids were enjoying the pool, just steps away! Under the house is not just for horses anymore! ;-)

Awesome NEIGHbors!!!!

What a great week at Summer Paws! The house was so clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We definitely could have used a pancake griddle though😊. A great feature of the house is an enclosed deck with a table and chairs. Our family ate dinner out there almost every night! You are literally a 1 min drive to beach, the house is located right next to a beach access. We had a group of 3 horses that came almost daily. One came up almost to the bottom deck, luckily we had the ropes on so he couldn’t get on! The beach is beautiful and we never had a problem with vehicles driving in front of us, they drive in back of your car. Make sure you have all of your necessities that you need with your or you’ll be driving 8 1/2 miles on the beach back to paved roads to a store. It took us 35 mins every time we needed to get onto paved roads, but it’s Definitely worth it, our family enjoyed every second of our time spent therel, and so did our dog, Lacie!

Peace at the Beach

Renting this house was one of the best decisions we have made! Staying on the 4x4 beach for the first time was an amazing adventure! My 4 year old loved to just go for drives on the beach! The horses are literally in the front yard every single day! Being out in the middle of no where and away from people and the hustle and bustle was exactly what my family needed. Laura was so great that she is the reason we are renting and returning next year! She is very quick to respond and will do whatever she can to make your vacation enjoyable. The house was very well stocked with pretty much everything you need! Tons of toys and games for little ones; the pool was very clean and very well taken care of - as was the hot tub. We had a few questions while we were there and a few minor instances where we needed to contact Laura - and she responded immediately. The house was very clean, the linens were not what you typically get from a rental (we were skeptical and brought our own just to be safe) but everything was perfect. Thank you for a great week! Can’t wait to come back next year!

If you’re looking for a low-key, laidback, quiet place to stay - look no further than Summer Paws. This was our 2nd year in a row at Summer Paws as the house is perfect for our family of 4 and 2 fur babies! We loved our week so much last year that we decided to stay for 2 this year! The house is clean, well maintained and has everything you could possibly need. The horses visited every day and we even had a few sightings of a beautiful albino deer. This house is so perfectly located that you can easily walk to and from the beach if you don’t want to pack up and drive back and forth every time. We’ve worked with both property managers Laura and David between this year and last and they are both the absolute best!! So down to earth, kind and responsive. Already looking forward to 2025 🖤

Mom, dad and our 10 month old daughter truly enjoyed Summer Paws. The property was clean and well maintained. It was as closely baby proofed as a non-baby proofed house was. There are some games and puzzles for rainy days, as well as direct TV. Next time, we'd bring more to keep the baby occupied because pouring rainy days were a little rough. It was too cool for the pool, but the hot tub was perfect. The kitchen had pretty much every thing we needed. We brought our own crockpot to make freezer meals, which worked out very well. In the future, we would be better planned for the beach driving; tire gauge, quarters for air, etc... We would also be more mindful of the tide times. We would very much recommend this to friends, we already have.

Hoping that comes true for 2018, but we are on island time!! LOL. 2019!! ?? In the meantime, I think the county is going to put some pumps in the Heritage Park. We'll stay tuned on that one.
