We had a great time during our stay in the 4X4 section of the outer banks! We drove to the beach everyday. Did some fishing in the sound once and got a large mouth bass. We fished the ocean every time we were at the beach and got a couple of needle fish, blue fish and one sting ray. We enjoyed the kayaks and rented a couple more from town. We brought our own beach chairs and beach toys. But the house had several beach chairs, a skim board, boogie boards, and other items. The house accommodated our stay well. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage boys. The boys each had a room with a TV located on the second floor. One of the rooms on the second floor had a private bathroom. My wife and I had a bedroom and private bath on the 3rd floor which was also the main floor. The main floor had plenty of space for us to play cards or watch TV together. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and had enough empty cupboard space for our groceries. We made all our meals at the house. We seen horses from our deck, while we kayaked, at the beach and when we drove around. 2 horses came to the house and one went under the house :) We enjoyed watching them.Anne answered all our questions before our stay and checked in with us on the second day to make sure we were settled in. We would stay here again!

This is a great place! It’s in a nice quiet area where the horses are all around. The house itself is in great shape and clean! The owner was very nice and responsive to messages sent. I would stay here again if we were traveling with just our family again.

Wonderful family vacation

We had an amazing time here! Was able to watch the wild horses from the back deck play in the water. The owners were great about communicating and answering any questions. You will definitely need four wheel drive to get to the house. Our family throughly enjoyed our vacation staying here.

Perfect beach weekend with friends!

We stayed for a long weekend for LDW and had the most amazing time. The house was equipped with everything we needed and was spacious and perfectly laid out. The owner was wonderful to work with and very quick to respond. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect beach getaway

After losing my mother unexpectedly, my family and I were in search of a last minute vacation that would provide some peace and quiet for the adults as well as fun for our kids. We found the perfect home in Carova! The house was beautiful and so were the views. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets from not just the beach, but from the deck as well. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, there were plenty of board games to entertain us at night, and having enough beach chairs for 8 guests as well as a sunshade, boogey boards and cornhole boards made packing for the beach much easier and lighter. One of the best parts of our stay was the wild horses wandering onto the property every day we were there! I will definitely be back for another beach getaway.

1st Time OBX Vactioners

This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks; Anne was very accomating and answered all of our questions in a timely manner! There is about 8 miles of beach between Corolla and the property so it is quite secluded from town(definitely bring a 4x4 vehicle and stop for groceries/necessities on your way in). The property was beautiful, homey ,and extremely clean. We had plenty of shared space to relax and enjoy conversation. The screened in porch is especially nice at night to keep the bugs at bay. There was a group of about 8 horses that visited every day, walking under the house and swimming in the canal. The beach was a short drive down the road and had plenty of open space! Overall a wonderful time was had by all amd we would visit again!!

We had a great family vacation with 6 adults and 2 kids (10 and 9) and the house was perfect! Anne was always so responsive to all my questions and very informative and just so helpful overall. The house was clean and everything was in great shape and looked new. We cooked for 4 nights and ate out 1 night in Corolla. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the electric grill worked great! The house had everything that was said that came with it. Taking the kayaks out on the canal was so fun and relaxing. We did throw out a crab trap and caught a few small blue crabs, which we released. Seeing the wild horses in the back yard and on the beach is so cool! They usually came down to the beach every day and made an appearance. The drive on the beach was very different, as we are not used to it but we aired down like Anne said and no issues. We packed up the truck with all our beach gear and coolers and drove and parked on the beach each day, that made it very convenient. The game cabinet is packed full of fun games and we played a few each evening. We were all very impressed and pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it.
