Fall asleep to the sound of the rushing brook in this beautifully restored, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath log home. The cabin sits in the middle of three wooded acres overlooking Catlin Brook as it cascades through the gorge below. It seems like wilderness, yet all the amenities of Harwinton are just a few minutes away. The recently remodeled cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen with quartz countertops, laundry room with gas dryer, forced-air heating and AC, an office space with a guest computer and high-speed internet, super comfy Italian leather couch with a Roku TV, and even a Yamaha piano.

The place was absolutely amazing. Loved everything from the esthetics, to the layout, the fire place, even the Piano; we used chatGPT to plan a whole piano date for one of the evenings. People often claim to have a luxury’s property but this one actually was from the finishes to every caring touch. We only had one complaint and it was Mother Nature. It snowed so much that week that while the driveways were super clear when we puled up we couldn’t safely explore the property. Now we have no choice but to go back again to see the amazing brook and even a real well we could see from the astonishing porch. Can’t wait to go back, explore and cuddle in front of the fireplace. Perfect place and amazing hosts.
Visit the antique store in town. We’re not even antiquers but this place was more museum than shop.

The house was amazing and to sit and listen to the creeks have coffee in the morning, was worth the trip. The Sheets and Towels were great. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Spot!

Some old friends and I had an incredible time at this cabin for our retreat from the world. The atmosphere of the property was excellent, and the cabin was clean and well appointed. We'll definitely be back soon!

Lovely Cabin Hideaway

We were very pleased with the cabin. It was very clean and very well stocked with any needed supplies. The check-in process went very smooth and our host checked in via email to see if we had any problems. Having moved out of Torrington 28 years ago and still have friends and relatives in the area, this cabin in Harwinton was perfect.

This is exactly what was needed with having a rough year. 5 year anniversary me and my wife had at this place. Very quiet and tranquil. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are into nature.
