Sea Shore Cottage est le style d'une maison de charme 1920 avec une grande pelouse, pente jusqu'à la mer. Cette propriété est en plein cœur du parc national Acadia, à quelques minutes de sites tels que la lumière Bass Harbor Head, Echo Lake, Somes Sound, et Beech Cliffs.

Cette maison a été récemment rénové, il surplombe Southwest Harbor, Île Sutton, les îles de canneberges, et l'île Greening. Cet endroit idéal est à distance de marche des superbes restaurants, des boutiques spécialisées, un port de plaisance à service complet, des galeries, et la chasse au verre de mer. Les cafés, un salon de crème glacée, et aire de jeux pour les enfants ne sont que quelques choses qui sont à moins de cinq minutes à pied. En quelques minutes, vous pouvez conduire à Echo Lake, Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, et bien d'autres destinations populaires Acadia National Park.

We loved this house so much. It was so close to everything but far from the business in towns like Bar Harbor. The house is so well decorated and comfortable. It has so much character and the back deck was so nice to sit out on every morning and drink coffee. The little notebook that is in house that the owners leave has some great suggestions of things to do and places to go. Very helpful!! We hope to come back next summer.

Our family of four had a great four nights in this comfortable cottage near Acadia. We were impressed by how clean and well stocked this cottage was. We appreciate the attention to detail and little things that were available to us after traveling on long days and dirty (active and fun) days in the park. Easy walk to Southwest Harbor and easy access to Echo Lake and the lighthouse. It is about 25 to 30 minutes to Bar Harbor and most of the main attractions within Acadia (Cadillac mountain, Jordan pond and the like). We were very comfortable and would stay here again.

Well appointed, comfortable and clean cottage with all the right things to make for a wonderful 4 day stay for our family of 5. We loved the proximity to town and the trails. It was nice to go to Acadia or neighboring BarHarbor and return home from the hustle and bustle to a much quieter/less congested Southwest Harbor to sit on the deck and enjoy the nice view of the harbor and time with family. The deck was also a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee and a book. If you forgot a book or game, don't worry there are plenty there to borrow. Downtown Southwest Harbor was a quick walk to cute shops, restaurants and ice cream. We look forward to hopefully coming back someday and staying here or at one of her other properties.

This was easily one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in. This is a house that is clearly meant to be lived in for a few days, not just rented for a few days. We stay at rentals like this on our travels for some of the convivences they offer over hotels, such as a place to cook a few meals and somewhere to relax together when not out and about. This house is well provisioned for preparing meals, with all of the essential and those extras that make a difference, such as cooking oil and spices. The beds were comfortable and the back porch was relaxing for an afternoon lounge. I think you can judge a place by the condition of its grill alone, and the grill here is clean and in excellent condition. The two beds on the sleeping porch do face the road, but are screened by a hedgerow and have more than adequate curtains for privacy. Southwest Harbor truly is the "quiet side" and any traffic pretty much shuts off by the time you go to bed. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Unlike corporate rentals that provide only the bare essentials, this is a rental you can truly call home for a few days.

Good location

The house was clean and well set up for a family of 5. The location fit exactly our needs, close enough to all the things we wanted to do but still quiet. The communication with the host was easy and prompt.

We enjoyed the location and comfortably relaxed as a group of 6. We were in town for the MDI Half Marathon, and being steps from the finish line was so lovely after finishing. We also enjoyed using the fire pit next to the water and had plenty of amenities to cook a few meals. One note - the two single beds on the sleeping porch are not heated, so keep that in mind for stays later in the season. Christie was super communicative throughout the entire process.

Very Enjoyable

We stayed at the house for three weeks and it worked very well. Our boys (5 & 8) enjoyed the firepit next to the water, the short walk to the shops, library, ice cream, etc. and close proximity to a working harbor.

We had a great stay at the home, which was well accommodated and very comfortable. The beds were comfy and the in window air-conditioning unit units were very effective. While the home is not large, it is well laid out and the space is used efficiently so we still felt very comfortable with our family of five and our dog. The area is beautiful with so many different things to do and lots of good food and hiking.

Well kept and appointed home. Very comfortable. The owner was quick to respond to inquiries and lives close so is able to replace or fix anything quickly. (nothing was broken but a lobster pot had a hole in it and was replaced within 30 minutes!) Great location.

Charming home

Christie was an exceptional host and we very much enjoyed having this charming house as our base to a wonderful family vacation. The house was very clean and offered everything we needed for the week. We enjoyed making a camfire by the water many of the nights we were there. That was a treat that we miss by not camping...thumbs up.

Perfect MDI Family Trip

Our stay at Christie’s cottage was the perfect stage for having a wonderful family vacation with my wife and I, two parents, two young children, and the family dog! We could walk into quaint Southwest Harbor for a meal and shopping, or make the 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor and the Acadia Loop. The house itself too, with large deck, fire pit and access to the ocean offered plenty to do. We would highly recommend and will return!

We had a great stay - our visit was made very comfortable by our host Christie. Everything was as pictured and the house was well appointed. We were able to make family meals, play board games on a rainy day, and enjoyed time in the yard and with our neighbors for the week. There was also great bike storage as an added bonus! Highly recommend.

Charming and nicely decorated inside

Charming home, nicely decorated. Nice view of SW Harbor. Close to grocery store, restaurants, Acadia. If you cannot walk up a flight of stairs, you may want to contact the host, though. Great location. We took a ride on a lobster boat, went to Bar Harbor, went to Cadillac mountain, and drove the park loop. We really enjoyed the island and its beauty.

Everything was perfect. The host thought of everything. We didn’t need to buy anything except food. She even provided coffee. My only complaint was the marina next-door. It had a docking area but also a separate working area for repairs so was a little noisy on workdays when I wanted to sit by the water and enjoy coffee in the the quiet.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Very clean. Fireplace was great for a cool rainy day we had. The kitchen is well stocked and even has pancake mix and syrup. Only downside was the traffic noise, which interfered with our sleep. The house is right on the road, with 2 of the 3 bedrooms road facing, so 6am-10pm we heard traffic pretty non-stop. If you're a light sleeper this might not be the best place to stay. But if that's not a concerns for you, then go for it - everything else about this rental is great!
