Heart of River Run Village w/ Views, Gas Fireplace, Shared Hot Tub

This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo sleeps 4 with a queen bed and a queen sofa bed. It features village views from the large window in the open concept living area, dining area and kitchen, plus a gas fireplace. It also fully renovated. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants and local festivities. Plus, you're a very short walk from the high-speed gondola. Black Bear Lodge offers shared amenities including a sauna and hot tub. Access to Dakota Lodge pool and hot tubs.

The living area features a flat screen SmartTV, a gas fireplace, modern decor, and a sleeper sofa. Extra sheets and blankets in a closet. The large windows offer natural light and views of River Run village.

The full kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite counters and stainless steel appliances. The dining area comfortably seats two with two additional seats at the breakfast bar.

The bedroom features a queen-size bed and a flat screen SmartTV. The updated bathroom has a single sink vanity with granite countertops and a shower/tub combination. It is stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

Please note that we have a minimum age requirement. To reserve this vacation rental, the paying guest must be 26 years of age or older.

Great condo/location, a few issues

We loved the location of the condo in Keystone Village. There were 4 minor issues.1) There were 3 different remotes in the living room and we still couldn't get any of them to simply turn the tv on2) The shower curtain liner smells3) The rug in the bathroom is too thick and you can't open the door all the way4) Couldn't get the air conditioning to come on and one the windows in the bedroom doesn't work so we could get more fresh air

The condo was very convenient to the gondola base at Keystone. We stayed in summer and there weren’t many people around which was nice. It got more busy with a festival for the weekend. Food was a short walk away. Note - it was warm with no A/C, but there were fans available to help cool things off. We would stay here again. The management team was also very easy to work with.

Ski storage and benches are near the ground floor exit to the lift. Underground parking is great. The condo is well laid out. Be aware that the mattress is firm and the LR would benefit from better reading lighting. We have rented at Keystone through SCMR several times and are happy with their setup and service.

VRBO Stay

Arriving at the property I was not sent the check in instructions so unfortunately it took a long time/ roughly 2 hours to finally check in. Once we arrived in the room we were dissatisfied to find out the property did not feel safe. Throughout the evening their were many different scenarios in which we did not feel safe and ended up leaving in the middle of the night due to this issue. The staff was nice but unfortunately overall the stay was a 1 star.

A little over an hour later we were able to unpack. Tub had to be taped off so nowhere for shower items. Summit Cty Retreats didn't seem to care about our inconvenience and thanked us for our patience. Nice condo. No amenities open for breakfast. Pretty toasty inside. Bring your own food or plan on driving.

We couldn’t ask for a better location as far as proximity. The room was very well kept and we enjoyed that. The property advertised a hot tub and heated pool, but all of these were closed. One of the hot tubs looked like it hadn’t been used in ages. The shops were mostly all closed. I’m sure not being winter affects this as expected. But it did really feel like we were the only ones in the place. It was great overall, sad about the amenities.

Nicely appointed but looks can be decieving

Condo is well appointed and stylish. Location great to gondola. Small with no storage, had to set suitcase open on two chairs for excess. TV in main area was horrible, picture so dim and sound impossible to understand. TV in bedroom has ok picture but was super cheap with horrible sound as well. I’m not a big TV watcher but after skiing all day, a soak and dinner I’m ready to veg. Wasn’t possible, so read? Lamp in living room was broken. Called management they sent maintenance person who confirmed the lamps were broke and the TVs awful, but nothing was done to correct the situation. This was just icing on the cake after arriving 2.5 hours early and having to sit in the parking lot and wait till 4:30 check in or pay extra per hour
.just didn’t sit well with me. Greed rather than consideration of the customer. Not the best experience thankfully, the weather, skiing and company were great.

VACATION RENTALS VS. HOTELS
Booking a vacation rental is like staying at the house of a friend. In this vacation rental you will experience significantly more space, privacy, or comforts that feel like home, including a kitchen and a location that is beyond what most hotels can offer. All this at a significantly lower cost than a hotel with comparable features. These benefits bring different considerations than a hotel. More privacy means that most guests do not want daily housekeeping. We offer a check-out clean and, for an added fee, mid-stay cleans. We also offer a starter supply of some consumables, including coffee, paper towels, toilet paper and more, but these items are not restocked during a stay. A kitchen allows you to make home-cooked meals. Guests will likely visit the store to purchase groceries. Self-sufficiency is key to a happy stay in a vacation rental. We do provide housekeeping and 24/7 maintenance, but this is primarily for properties in between stays. Our staff services vacation rentals across several square miles, unlike a hotel that manages a single building. We have to strike a balance between cost and service, and have found that our current system has struck this balance. Our hope is that our guests understand the difference between booking a hotel and a vacation rental. Together we can provide affordable vacation rentals and happy stays for everyone!
