Whale Watchers Bluff - Amazing Panoramic Views!

Whale Watchers Bluff is a private ocean-front home with amazing panoramic views. Start your day sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee while listening to the waves crash below. Explore the Mendocino Coastline and the Private Irish Beach. After a long day of adventuring, unwind in the sunken hot tub with your favorite glass of wine while watching the sunset over the ocean.

This is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, family beach vacation, group retreat, or friends trip.

Whale Watchers Bluff is a three bedroom, two bath, 1,700 square foot house with an attached garage. The house comfortably sleeps 8 guests.

The primary bedroom features sweeping ocean views and direct access to the deck and hot tub. A king bed provides a restful night’s sleep, while the sound of the waves sets the tone for relaxed mornings. Step outside to enjoy a soak in the hot tub and take in the expansive coastal scenery.

The second bedroom has a King bed and the third bedroom has two Queen beds. All bedrooms have ocean views.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals.

A propane grill is available for guest use. Propane is provided and there is an extra propane tank in the garage.

There is a Smart TV in the Livingroom. Guests can log in to their favorite platforms (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling TV, etc) to watch their favorite shows.

Guests have private and exclusive access to the entire home.

The residence is on a steep bluff that does not have direct beach/ocean access. The private Irish Beach is a 3 min drive (or 15-20 min walk) from the house. There is a gate pass available for guests to access the private beach.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to our hot tub sanitation policies and practices, the hot tub may need 6-8 hours to heat if drained and refilled the same day as your check in. If the hot tub is not up to temperature upon your arrival, please be aware that it will take the evening to warm and will be ready for use the following morning at the latest.

Families with Pets: We are a pet friendly home and and would love to welcome yours. There is a flat pet fee and we ask that you follow these pet rules:
‱ 2 Dog Maximum (no cats)
‱ Do not leave pets unattended in home without owner present.
‱ Do not allow pets on beds.
‱ Please pick up your pet waste
‱ No dogs in the hot tub

Beautiful

This was a really comfortable and beautiful spot to relax for a week and get away from city life. The views from the living room and balconies are especially stunning, offering a nearly 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean. The beds are nice and firm, the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and tools, and there are ample towels and toilet paper. We highly recommend this spot.

Great stay over Thanksgiving

Whale Watchers Bluff’s views are breathtaking! We thoroughly enjoyed staying right on the ocean and in a secluded area away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area. House is small, but worked perfectly for my husband and me, our 2 teenage boys and my mom. Plus our French bulldog! Kitchen well equipped even for our Thanksgiving feast. And little store 5 minutes down the road had nearly everything we needed. Beds very comfortable and lots of couch space for family movie night. Thank you Emily for bring a great host!

Awesome Ocean View

My wife and I were looking for a beach getaway for our anniversary. We found this place online and decided to give it a try. We’re very happy that we did. It was enjoyable from the beginning. It was extremely well furnished and equipped with everything we could possibly need and then some. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was luxurious. The hot tub was very relaxing and looking out and watching the sunset from the hot tub was amazing. This place is just what we needed Thank you Emily! Lonnie and Carrie.

Amazing!

We’ve been renting homes at Irish Beach for over 15 years, and this is hands-down the best we’ve ever stayed in. The home was spotless, incredibly well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a perfect family getaway. The views were absolutely stunning — we saw whales every evening from both the deck and inside the home! The binoculars provided were a thoughtful touch.The beds were super comfortable, the heated bathrooms were perfect for chilly nights, and we ended every evening relaxing in the hot tub. The fireplace made the living room feel extra cozy.The layout of the three bedrooms gave everyone their own space while still feeling connected. Very kid- and dog-friendly, which we really appreciated!As a chef, I was impressed by the quality of the kitchen cookware — a rare find in a rental! My husband loved the classic coffee maker, and I enjoyed the convenience of the K-cup option. The owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with.This home exceeded our expectations in every way. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This property was exactly as listed. Spectacular views of the ocean wondrous stars at night. The whole setup was great for our family. The private beach is incredible — driftwood sculptures everywhere. Cuffey’s Cove, where our weekend events were held, was 15 minutes away. One caveat: this is remote country and gas stations are sparse.
