Cottage romantique pour deux au coeur des Montagnes Blanches

Un chalet privĂ©, rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ© entourĂ© d'arbres, ruisseau de montagne, les champs et une vue spectaculaire sur les PrĂ©sidentielles. Abondance de la faune sur les fenĂȘtres. Il n'est pas rare d'avoir un orignal ou un ours Ă  pied. Vous apprĂ©cierez des nuits confortables et reposantes dans la chambre intime et sereine sur une literie de qualitĂ©, y compris du duvet et du coton. La baignoire attenante fournit une douche, des serviettes moelleuses et un sĂšche-cheveux. Des dĂ©tails architecturaux uniques ont Ă©tĂ© ajoutĂ©s pour crĂ©er un environnement confortable. La cuisine est entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e pour prĂ©parer des repas simples ou Ă©lĂ©gants avec salle Ă  manger attenante et des espaces de vie spacieux. Une collection de guides, de cartes et de matĂ©riel de lecture locaux est fournie. Nous avons Ă©galement compilĂ© une liste de nos choses prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©es Ă  faire dans la rĂ©gion, y compris des randonnĂ©es, des restaurants et des excursions d'une journĂ©e. De nombreuses fenĂȘtres laissent entrer la lumiĂšre naturelle, les sons et l'air pur de la montagne. This is the perfect place if you’re looking to disconnect and be cozy. We absolutely loved it here and will be back! The views are incredible waking up to the mountain covered in snow was magical. Hiking trails are literally in the backyard. Larry and his wife were so kind and Larry has the most fascinating history of the town. Highly recommend this place.

Very cozy in the snow. Cabin was perfect. Everything worked great and we stayed nice and warm. Larry gave us lots of info about the area. It's not too far to get to anything you might need, but still secluded and private.

Beautiful cottage! We really enjoyed our stay, it was a perfect weekend despite the fairly grey weather! We had everything we needed, Larry is a wonderful host (thanks again for the apples!), and the area is beautiful! The cottage comes with a topographical map with all the trails in the area, which made it very easy to find a nice hike right from our doorstep.

Never said beautiful so much in 1 weekend. The quaint house my girl and I stayed in was so romantic and clean! The property and owners were both exceptional. We will stay here again if available and would recommend you give it a try you won’t be disappointed!Oh ya the owner left some fantastic cookies for our welcome, I don’t know if they do that for everyone but hopefully with a little luck you can enjoy this same experience! Life changing in my book!

Such a beautiful cottage and peaceful location! We enjoyed relaxing on the back deck and being immersed in nature. Many trails just a walk from the cottage and rhe rail trail is minutes away.The owners were very welcoming, readily available and more than happy to share their knowledge of the area. The kitchen is well equiped, super comfy bed and linens provided.Thank you Larry & Yvonne for sharing your special place with us. You have created such a peaceful, welcoming space.We will be back! House was better than advertised. Beautiful location , just what we always thought a New England cabin would be. See photo off deck. Larry was a pleasure to talk to and he knows the area and interesting stuff. Mt. Washington and White Mountain great trips to go along with the Presidential Mountains from the house. 1st time in New England and will be back.

Everything was clean and perfectly in working order. House was nice and private. Great views of Mt. Adams and Madison. Free to roam the entire property which was beautiful. Larry was extremely helpful and friendly and knew the area very well so he gave us a lot of suggestions/ guidance on what to do. We look forward to another visit.

Perfect getaway - off the beaten path with outdoor gorgeousness all around. There are no bells or whistles with this cabin - which was absolutely fine with us, as we had everything we needed and felt right at home. The owners made us feel so welcome and were always available, and everything on the property was clean and lovingly maintained. There are plenty of things to do in the area, but the backyard was our haven - gorgeous views and a peaceful place to listen to the sounds of nature while sipping coffee with a good book. We had the time of our lives here and would highly recommend this property to anyone who craves a quiet, peaceful, calm place to relax and reset.

My wife and I just returned from an eight night stay at Larry and Yvonne’s beautiful property. The cottage itself was cozy, very comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. Larry and Yvonne were generous, and well informed hosts. What they have created amounts to a private resort for both themselves, and their guests, in the heart of a majestic mountain landscape. Beautiful spot. The cottage location exceeded my expectations and the hiking just steps from it was convenient and plentiful. Everything you could need for peaceful retreat. Hosts are so knowledgeable and gracious and take immense pride in their town and property.

Larry was an exceptional host. He offered lots of things to do in the area. He was super friendly and accommodating. Gertrude, their dog was super friendly and lovable. Yvonne, Larry’s wife was pleasant and kind. All the amenities of home. Easy to shop in Gotham, hike and explore the many mountains and areas. We have a family emergency and had to cur time short by a day, but that’s ok.All in all it was relaxing, quiet and peaceful.Thank you for your hospitality - it’s appreciated. We will return in the future. I recommend to anyone.

White Mountains cottage

The cottage is cozy and comfortable. It is the perfect size for one or two guests. Location is great for proximity to White Mountains hiking and sight-seeing. Restaurants and grocery shopping are about a 10-minute drive away.Communication with hosts prior to arrival was a small problem. I am not sure if the issue was with them or with Vrbo, but a message I sent through the app inquiring about check-in procedure went unanswered. I finally had to call the host directly the day before my arrival to confirm the check-in procedure. Internet service was out during my stay, which was not a problem for me, but for might have been for someone hoping to work remotely. I was not advised of the lack of Internet service until I arrived. After arrival, communication was excellent and the hosts were very friendly.The cottage was generally clean but there were a few oversights (crumbs on the kitchen table, dust on top of the refrigerator, mildew on the lower edge of the shower curtain) that some guests might have found bothersome.The washer and dryer in the cottage are a real plus if you plan to do a lot of hiking and your clothes get very sweaty and/or muddy.Overall a pleasant stay; would stay again if in the area.

Relax & hike after a stressful winter at work

View from treeline on Mt Adams.
The trailhead that leads to this and so many other incredible views is 10 minutes at most from your door & these same heights can be viewed clearly from the cabins property. Like you're sitting right under it. Stunning.

Wonderful Little Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Larry’s cottage. It was well-equipped with everything we needed and nestled in a beautiful location. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, Larry offered to extend our stay. Even though we couldn’t stay longer, we truly appreciated his kind gesture. We’d love to return for another visit in the future!

Perfect for Two

Private and cozy with everything we needed. Property owner, Larry (just down the lane) is a fount of information about local history and suggestions for hikes and sights to see. Unfortunately, we were "rained out" for much of our visit...but the cottage was ideal for sitting by the cast iron stove with coffee and a good book. We hope to come back!

Little gem in the mountains

We love coming to this cabin in the woods!! The hosts are friendly, helpful and make you feel right at home. We keep coming back because of the peacefulness, and comfort. Amenities are nearby with hiking and activities. Totally recommend!!

Peaceful and Relaxing

We have spent the past 36 years creating a self sustained lifestyle. Everything is owner designed and built, including the buildings, landscaping and gardens. We are both retired Larry, a former woodworker, and Yvonne a librarian. We enjoy our beautiful mountain setting and are excited to share it with you.

This cottage was built and used as an apartment while we were constructing our larger home on the same property, which was chosen because of the spectacular views of the Northern Presidentials. Our dream of converting it into a vacation rental is now complete.

The property allows you to get away and yet be close enough to everything you need. The small town setting is friendly, welcoming, and includes many seasonal acitivities without the congestion of typical tourist destinations.
