We had a great stay! Eduardo was very helpful in the pre-trip communications, and Rosa and Jessenia made sure the week went smoothly. We especially enjoyed the meals prepared onsite, and the staff was very welcoming. Our kids also really enjoyed the house and playing in the pool.

The house was AMAZING and China and Jessenia were so hospitable. I cannot emphasize enough how delicious the cooking is-it is highly worth it to purchase the meal plan. My girlfriends and I were amazed by the beautiful landscape and amenities. Great find!!

The house was very clean, beautiful, and well maintained. We stayed here for a bachelorette trip, and one of the things we appreciated the most was how safe and comfortable we felt the entire time. The property being in a gated community gave us so much peace of mind since we were a group of young women traveling together.Our housekeeper China and cook Nayelin were absolutely incredible. They were warm, attentive, and truly took care of us like family. The meals were amazing and the house was always spotless. They made the stay feel so special and welcoming.The only small hiccup was that the check-in information from Eduardo was a little confusing at first, but everything was quickly resolved and after that the stay was seamless.Overall we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend staying here, especially for groups or girls trips. We would absolutely come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home at Tortuga Bay. The home is beautifully furnished and updated, the rooms spacious and the location is ideal. Jean, the chef is outstanding. I have stayed at the club many times before and we planned to go out for dinner several evenings. After the first dinner prepared by her, we cancelled the balance of our dinner reservations and ate at home! This rental is better stocked with essentials, from basic seasonings, to cutlery, crockery and appliances etc. than any I have stayed in before. The home was spotless, cleaned daily and Eduardo is very organised and very responsive to any questions that we had, the perfect person to rent from. I highly recommend this rental to anyone considering renting in Punta Cana.

My family and I had a wonderful time in Punta Cana. This villa is beautiful. The host made us feel at home and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Jefrey cooked delicious meals and was always available if we had questions or needed something. Everything went smoothly and we were able to relax and enjoy our family vacation. I can’t say enough good things about our stay at this Villa. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

The house was in excellent condition—very clean and well-maintained. It was perfect for our family, with each of us having our own bedroom and full bathroom, which made the stay even more comfortable.From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Chej Jenna and Suleica, who truly went above and beyond to make our trip special. We were celebrating my daughter’s Sweet 16, and they surprised us with a beautiful display of balloons and a cake, along with a delicious breakfast on her special day. It was such a thoughtful and memorable touch.Eduardo, the host, was incredibly helpful—he arranged our airport transfers and booked all our excursions, making everything seamless. The house itself is nice what really cast a negative pall on the stay was the absolute boorishness of the owner. He was rude. He did not make us feel welcome and he treated his staff poorly. The staff apologized for his behavior to try and make us feel better but it was not their burden. The pool is ridiculously small and is misrepresented in the fotos. The house was completely adequate but the owner behavior and rudeness even pre-stay would never allow me to rent with him again or suggest it to anyone I cared about. There are many nicer places to stay with better ownership skip this one.

Despite multiple requests, this was not submitted, which complicated the check-in process and communication—issues that could have been easily avoided by following the standard procedure. The listing and guest-provided photos accurately reflect the pool’s size, though I understand it may not have met your personal expectations. Birthday Getaway

Everything was wonderful. Jean and Yudi were so sweet. They made everyone feel comfortable and we really enjoyed ourselves. Also trust Eduardo when he says he got it and will make sure you are taken care of. Excellent customer service and excellent communication. Look forward to working with them again.

We stayed for a week, had a great time! Definitely get the golf carts, you can walk to the beach but it is a long walk. Rosa was great, her meals were delicious!

Perfect stay

It was our first time staying in Eduardo’s property and it was amazing! This house is exactly as it is picture. It is a quiet property, perfectly clean, with an amazing pool and bedrooms. The check in process was very easy, Eduardo gave us excellent recommendations and was very easy to communicate with. We recommend to lease the golf carts to go around La Cana and also Yan the chef, that prepares you delicious meals!

Tortuga Bay

All in all it was a pleasant experience. We experienced some trouble with a language barrier with the staff. Also, since we were there for two weeks, the expenses of getting bottled water was not made clear ahead of time, since the water in the house was not treated. Jean and Judy were helpful and Jeans meals were delicious.

As you know, the Dominican Republic is a Spanish-speaking country, and we always recommend using an online translation tool if you're not familiar with the language. Our amazing staff members, Jean and Judy, always do their best to communicate, and most of the time, it works out smoothly. Regarding the water, you had inquired beforehand about the presence of a water filtration system, and I informed you that it is not available. However, rest assured that the water is safe for brushing your teeth, bathing, and other uses. The cost of bottled water is directly tied to consumption, which can vary from person to person, making it difficult to provide an exact estimate in advance. I'm glad to hear that you found Jean and Judy helpful and that you enjoyed Jean's meals. They are truly wonderful with all our guests, and Jean is professionally trained, having graduated from one of South America's top culinary schools. They both work hard to ensure that every guest has a stress-free, enjoyable vacation.

Great house and perfect location

Very nice house and perfectly located. Clean, spacious and well maintained. We did not take advantage of the in-house staff since we wanted to cook our own meals. Made some of the planning a little more complicated for us. Host provided 5 gal of drinking water. Host was very responsive.

Perfect Vacation

Our family had a wonderful stay at Villa Tatagua. My family of 6 had plenty of room. The pool area was perfect for meals & a relaxing day at the pool. Rosa made incredible meals for us throughout our stay. Eduardo was very welcoming & readily available if you have any questions. We will certainly be back!

Christmas Break

Lovely Villa, perfect for a relaxing break over Christmas with my grown up family. Minutes from the Beaches and Club int he golf carts Rosa was a star and Eduardo very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend.

Great first trip to the Dominican

Our family had an amazing trip to Punta Cana! The house was perfect for our family of 5. The location was ideal since our son was in a golf tournament at La Cana golf course. Having the ability to rent a golf cart was so helpful. We used it multiple times a day. Rosa was wonderful. We would definitely stay again!

Pure Relaxation!

We had an amazing experience! The house was exactly as described and even better in person. Everyone in my party had plenty of space, felt safe, and slept soundly. The golf cart was fantastic to explore the neighborhood and get us to the beach and resort pool. Rosa and her helper kept us well fed for breakfast and dinner! The pool was cleaned every day and was a perfect size for us 4. All in all, we had a great trip and would highly recommend staying here!

Perfect in every way

Our family absolutely loved our stay at the property. We opted to have the chef service because we wanted authentic and local foods. We were not disappointed! When we arrived the host took our family on a quick tour and was attentive to our requests. The house is clean and comfortable. We look forward to returning for another stay!

Hello! I’m Eduardo, the owner of Villa Tatagua in beautiful and tropical Punta Cana Resort and Club.

I am a retired US civil engineer and general contractor and know what it is like to live a stress-filled life in the hustle and bustle of a large city. I had vacationed in the Dominican Republic many times in the past and always found the beautiful beaches, friendly people and tropical scenery so relaxing and inviting. I always found it hard to leave when the vacation was over and couldn’t wait until I could once again return. When I retired, I decided to make a change: I turned one of my favorite vacation spots into my retirement home and am so happy I did!

I bought this Villa 10 years ago and spent several months remodeling it to what it is today…a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath, spacious, sun-filled Villa facing hole 2 of La Cana Golf Course and a short walk to Playa Serena, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I named the home Villa Tatagua in honor of a beautiful beachfront property my parents owned in Cuba.

I have loved every minute of this new life! It is a pleasure getting to know our guests and helping them turn their dream vacation into a reality. Many of our wonderful guests have returned year after year and we have a spotless 5-star review from 50 guests and counting!
