The neighbors were TERRIBLE! The house was totally fine. And clean. Great location and parking. Neighbors loud and rude. Kept us up until after 2AM.

Quaint but near the beach

Nice location with cute decor close to the beach and Newport Ave. We failed to notice there was no AC in the listing and the inside was extremely hot and muggy with no air flow. The ceiling fans didn't do anything to move the air, and when I reached out to property manager - she told us there were fans in closet but there were only space heaters. The 2nd day someone brought us a fan while we were out which helped a lot. When we slept with windows open the night before, we could hear the neighbors all night long and very loud ariplanes passing above, so while it was still hot and uncomfortable the 2nd night, at least the fan allowed us to reduce the noise by closing some of the windows. The property manager was not friendly at all but we didn't let it ruin our trip. I would not stay here again but only because of my negative interactions with the property manager. Make sure to pack earplugs if you decide to stay here!

The bungalow has nice linens, beds are comfortable, unit D has lovely patio under the oleander tree on a local neighborhood street close to the beach and downtown OB and at the end of Bacon a perfect spot to see the Sea World fireworks. The place only had 2 bent forks and no knives or spoons. No broom. I had to take wire from TV and reconnect to use the microwave and coffee. The coffee was delicious.

Pictures r very deceptive. Kitchen was not supplied with anything other than a few pots. 2 forks one of which was bent out of shape. Could not use the microwave unless I moved it to plug it in. Counter top on the island has peeling contact paper making it near impossible to clean. Tv cord plugged into a power strip that dangled not reaching the floor. Bathroom flooring disgusting. No tiles at the tub extremely dirty. Flooring tiles throughout not fitted properly some sticking up creating concern for anyone without shoes on. Sharp corners So disappointed in the property. I visit San Diego frequently and have never had such a bad experience. Overpriced for the condition of the property. There should be standards to meet. This place is horrible. Beautiful cozy place close to the beach.

Overall it was perfect and super close to the beach. They have picnic tables outside and BBQs as well.

Perfect location and accomodations!

Close to beach, restaurants and entertainment that we enjoyed walking everywhere. Ocean beach is not as busy as Pacific Beach which was so much more relaxing.

Cozy place with thin walls

Really nice, cozy property a few blocks from the beach and a private courtyard! Tons of amazing coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Had a hard time getting a response from the property manager regarding check-in, as well as an emergency maintenance issue that came up during my stay. Also, walls seem pretty thin so you can clearly hear people walking on the street and neighbors playing music. If you're a light sleeper, this place might be tough especially in high-season. If you're a heavy sleeper, don't need to contact the manager, and want to be close to the beach, this is a great place.

We were looking for somewhere within easy walking distance of the beach and with adequate parking space for a minivan. This property met both of these perfectly! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and there are plenty of dining options within easy walking distance.

When you pull around to the parking at the back of the property you will be greeted by fly infested, stinking trash cans. When we got out of the car we were asked by a filthy junkie 'if we needed help with our bags'. Funny but not funny if you have a four and six year old with you. When we walked in my six year old said 'this place is small' (which is true) but the gap between the floor and front door was not small enough to keep out the mouse who visited. We contacted the host twice on the number given and didn't hear back either time.

The place was exactly what we needed. Perfect for a couple, walking distance to beach, restaurants, coffee places, breweries, etc... And the assigned parking was great!

Lovely Stay

Property was very clean & cozy, excellent location to beach, & parking. Had everything we needed. Only issue was connecting to WiFi in cottage using network access provided, & then issues connecting with property manager to report through Vrbo. Turned out to be an issue with Vrbo. Using off-hour contact number, property manager addressed immediately with alternative way to connect to WiFi and resolved; impressed with property manager responsiveness. We would stay again.

Really Loud Neighbors

The property itself was cute. It was enough for a couple night stay. It didn't have very many amenities. Super basic. Not a lot of light. Communication with the property owner was poor. Confusing notes in the unit vs. the messages that came through on the platform. I felt like I was talking to a robot when I tried to send a message. If it was just this, then I wouldn't have cared. It would have been fine. BUT the issue was with the neighbor. The walls in this place were so thin and the neighbor had his TV up on full blast all night long. Other guests in the unit next to us were partying all night. It was incredibly loud. Yet, if we were to make a disturbance, we would have been charged over $500. This could have been an OK experience, but we were unable to sleep. we will not be staying here again.

Ocean Beach

This place is an absolute Nightmare! The moment I got there was terrible from hairs in the shower and on my towels. The beds are like sleeping on the floor along with the pillows. The fridge is rusted, ceiling paint in the bathroom falling, to the walls being paper thin and able to hear the entire conversation of the next door neighbor which was up all night every night with the TV blasting, walking and dropping items constantly on the floor. This was the worst experience I have had with using VBRO and would stay as far away from this place as possible! It is extremely outdated and needs lots of work, NO air conditioning or heat at all! There isn’t anything I could find good about this place except walking distance to food places.
