Thanksgiving Getaway

Perfect location as walking distance to golf and restaurant. Home was as advertised and really enjoyed my time. It was peaceful throughout my entire week stay. Will definitely return!

Careful walking out that door

First the good news: The property was clean inside. The bed was comfortable. The property is located about as far out as development goes, so it takes a fair amount of time to get around (we were there to look at real estate). The neighborhood was unearthly quiet. Now the bad news: 1) My husband and I both fell at different times walking from inside the house to inside the garage. The step from the house into the garage is a bigger drop that you expect (which I presume means it does not conform to the building code), such that we were thrown off balance. Added to that is a bad fix - a rectangular "step" about 4 inches tall has been added inside the garage, but the landing is smaller than a normal stride so it is likely that a person's heel will get caught on the "step" guaranteeing a fall. My husband and I are in our 70's. The owner is lucky we didn't break anything. I notified the property manager of this issue and asked that they provide me photographs of what has been done to warn other renters and to fix the problem. I did not receive a response. 2) The outside patio furniture cushions were covered with dust, making sitting outside in the beautiful morning unpleasant; and 3) The drapes are serviceable but not easily maneuvered. The PVC pipe holding the sheer up in the bedroom fell down when I tried to open it, and both drapes fell down in the dining area when I tried to open them. There was no ladder on the property to allow me to restore privacy.

Your comfort and safety mean a lot to us, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. All homes in the Signature PGA West community, including the one you had stayed at, were built within the past 4–5 years and are fully up to code. That said, we understand the garage step may have felt unexpected, and we’re reviewing it to ensure it’s as safe as possible. We did reach out twice by phone and text after hearing from you to follow up and check in. You mentioned you couldn’t talk at the time, so we tried again shortly after and hoped to connect directly. The outdoor cushions have been cleaned, and we’re updating the curtain rods to make them easier to use. We’re glad to hear you found the home clean and the bed comfortable, and we hope to welcome you back with these improvements in place. Let us know if there’s anything else we can do.
