Beautiful home with a large yard! Great location & friendly neighbors. We were there for July 4th holiday and a parade took place right in front of the house! Beds were comfortable, kitchen has plenty of space.

Trip Back in Time

This is an older house with a lot of character. Be prepared to be flexible and adjust to things not being perfect but a wonderful look at houses built in 1922!!

Liberty, MO.was unseasonably cold (February) the week were in town. The host was very responsive when I reached out to fix drafty areas due to air conditioning units in windows Thank you.

The property had what we needed. A lot of thrown together cookware and dishes but it worked. I needed to clean a few things before using but not a big deal. Biggest issue: The property was really hot when we showed up and I needed to turn on all the window units. And a strong odor started coming from the basement our last couple of days. All in all, beds were cleaned with plenty of towels and things left behind from others that we could use if needed. Keeping the house cool is a challenge because of the age of the property. Front room was pretty warm while others close to a window unit were fine. Location worked fine for us.

We heard a 2 way listening device

When we got there the house was cute and eccentric. After further inspection we found a powder substance and a job rolling paper on the glass part of the dining table. A cigarette laying next to the coffee maker so I don’t think the house was cleaned well at all. We heard 3 different types of beeping so I emailed the owner and when we arrived late the next night they new tv remote (the bedroom didn’t have 1) and batteries were hanging on the door and not put in the smoke detectors. We had to climb on a chair to change them. Let’s go back to the 1st night, the boys heard a woman’s voice talking so we unplugged the tv thinking it was just someone who is close by with the same tv remote. The following night when we got back it was late and all 7 of us were sitting talking in the living room and we heard the voice again several times talking. We all looked for it and the strange beeping never stopped even after the batteries were changed. Scared my boys so bad they slept with me. I did record and take pictures of these instances. The stairs were so unsafe and for such a tiny but long, staircase there were little rugs on each step that weren’t nailed down and they slid when you stepped on them. I have stayed at many vrbo bnb’s and I have never heard a 2 way listening device talk to us and felt as unsafe, uncomfortable and violated as I did here. There’s no reason we should have heard anyone speaking through a device in the home.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide timely support and had reached out to coordinate a time to deliver the TV remote and replace the smoke detector battery. Since the guests were not home, we dropped off the items and waited for a confirmed appointment to enter the property. We want to clarify that there’s no walkie-talkie device inside the house, the little rugs on each step has been fixed, and had we been informed of any issues or granted access, we would have gladly resolved them during the stay. Upon check-in, the guests shared that they “loved the house so much and would stay here again,” which we truly appreciated. For future reference, we kindly ask guests to let us know of any concerns as soon as possible and provide a time for us to address them promptly.
