Charming 1920's House - pet friendly, 45 minutes from beach & attractions!

Welcome to Mellonville Manor, a two-story, 3-bedroom home boasting tons of character with modern updates to host your entire family. Situated 5 minutes from Historic Downtown Sanford, FL, less than 45 minutes from Orlando Theme Parks and New Smyrna Beach, and 10 minutes from Sanford International Airport, this is your perfect home away from home. House is fully equipped with WiFi and electronic entry for Self Check-in.

Accommodations
House has been thoughtfully updated with a charming, modern kitchen and appliances, fully stocked with dishes, pans and all the cooking accessories you may need. The living room has a 50" smart TV, loaded with Netflix, Prime and YouTube TV for sign-in with your own account (no cable TV). The screened-in front porch has a dining table and seating for 6, which overlooks the beautiful natural Florida landscaped front yard and gold fish pond. The Laundry Room is located on the ground floor, with an attached bathroom with walk-in shower. Bedrooms are each equipped with blackout curtains and a sound machine for optimum sleeping. Master bedroom has an extendable Smart TV to adjust to your viewing pleasure. Upstairs bathroom boasts a deep soaking tub and shower and has a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and soap for your use. Enjoy the wide collection of books and games to keep you and your family entertained indoors. Beach equipment is also available; please see host for details.

Parking
Parking is on-site with an available covered carport for smaller vehicles. A 30 Amp outdoor outlet is available for small to mid-size RV's and electric vehicles (Adapter not provided). Please inquire with host for details if needed.

Pets
This is a pet-friendly property with a $50 pet fee. Please clean-up outside after your pets for our future guests.

Downtown Sanford
There are many great restaurants, breweries and shops located in downtown Sanford. The locals affectionately refer to a night downtown as "Sanfording". The town regularly hosts festivals and events that draw people from all parts of the country. For more information on Sanford, please visit their website https://www.historicdowntownsanford.com/. The house is located within the Golf Cart District which allows guests to rent a golf cart to ride around the downtown area. Misc Items to Note
The fountain and gold fish pond are one of the highlights of the property. The sound of water is a delight to many for soothing guests to sleep at night. For others, we provide noise machines in each bedroom as well as dispensable ear plugs.

Amazing place to stay!

Mellonville Manor was the perfect location for our wedding party to stay for our wedding! The place was cozy, close to everything, and the host was commutative and easy to work with. We’ve already talked about staying here again for a staycation in the future.

Lovely historical home!

This home is so quaint with well-appointed design choices. The screened in porch is great, and we enjoyed the open concept of the living and kitchen area. We were in Sanford for a wedding, and this fit the needs of 5 adults. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The owner has excellent communication and response time. Thank you!

We had a beautiful stay in this home while we were in town for a baseball tournament. Great proximity and there’s a Publix on the way to the fields! Super clean. Beds are comfortable! And hearing the Fountain outside while we slept was the icing on the cake. We will be back :-)

Wonderful home

This house was absolutely perfect for my son and me during our trip to visit a nearby college. It was not only clean and comfortable but also warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. The location was excellent, providing convenient access to everything we needed. Our host was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond, exceeding my already high expectations from the other glowing reviews. With my son likely attending college in the area, this will definitely be our go-to place for future visits when my wife and I are in town. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, CLEAN historical home

This is a beautiful home from 1925 that has been immaculately restored. It has a gorgeous updated kitchen and updated restrooms. We were in town for a baseball tournament with two moms and two teenage boys. It’s about 8 minutes from Boombah. The area coming up to the home is older, but we felt very safe the entire time. It’s walkable to the older historic district near the water, but it’s much easier to drive. Very close to a Winn Dixie and a Publix on the way to the fields. PROS:Comfy beds, great well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, exceptionally clean, beautifully cared for, covered parking, AC worked great (FL is hot in July!) THINGS to CONSIDER (these aren’t cons, just stuff I didn’t realize: (1) There are two full bathrooms. However, only one bathroom is on the floor with the three bedrooms. This bathroom has one sink and a tub. The second bedroom is downstairs and through the kitchen and laundry room. It’s a 100 year old home, so not a surprise but just something to consider. I didn’t catch this in the description! (2) the room with the twin beds is very small. The trundle really doesn’t even pull out all the way. If you need that space for teenagers or more than one adult, it would be a challenge. Totally fine for small kids. Overall, a great house. Great host. We would definitely stay here again.

The host was great at communicating and answering our questions in a timely manner. The house is charming, comfortable, and welcoming after long days of being a tourist. The screen porch was peaceful in the morning listening to the water feature and birds while sipping a cup of coffee. Just what we wanted!!If you need somewhere to stay in the Sanford area, this is the place!

The charming historic homes of Sanford and the friendly residents are why we chose this community to host. There are always plenty of things to do each weekend with events like the Farmer's Market, concerts, festivals, arts & crafts fairs and many more. Located in a golf cart district, guests are invited to rent a golf cart to get the full "Sanford'ing" experience.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We lovingly renovated the entire home in 2023, updating all the electrical, HVAC, the kitchen and downstairs flooring, driveway and landscaping. The original house was only a one bedroom when built in 1925, and in 1947 the front porch and primary bedroom was added on to the front. In the past several years, the laundry room and 2nd bath were added on to the back of the house.
