Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. When you reported your concerns during your stay, our maintenance team promptly offered to inspect the HVAC system and the property while you were in residence. You declined that offer, stating that having maintenance enter the property during your stay would be an invasion of your privacy. While we respect your decision, it unfortunately prevented us from evaluating the concerns and, if necessary, addressing them while you were occupying the home. Our HVAC system is maintained through a preventative maintenance program that includes routine servicing and monthly air filter replacements. This property is located directly on the beach, where elevated humidity is a natural environmental condition, particularly during the summer months. Warm, moisture-laden air can quickly enter the home if exterior or balcony doors are left open for extended periods, making it more difficult for the HVAC system to effectively manage indoor humidity. Although this was the first report we have received of an odor, mold-related concern, or respiratory issues at this property, we take every report involving indoor air quality seriously. Following your departure, the property and HVAC system were thoroughly inspected. We found no evidence of mold within the HVAC system, and the air filter was confirmed to be in good condition. We appreciate you bringing the porch ceiling fan to our attention. Before your stay, we had not received any reports of any issue, and it was added to our maintenance follow-up to ensure everything is operating properly. We respectfully disagree with the assertion that the property had a known or ongoing mold issue. Had we believed there was any condition affecting the health or safety of our guests, the property would not have been made available for occupancy. This home has consistently received outstanding reviews from previous guests, and we have not received similar complaints regarding odors, mold, or indoor air quality. While we cannot substantiate the conditions described in your review, we appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and remain committed to maintaining the property to the high standards our guests expect.
