Shelly and Lou were wonderful hosts. Great house for a weekend get away. We had our family to attend a wedding at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and this was a perfect location.

What a great experience!! The hosts couldn't have been kinder, the house and property were beautiful, and the communication was great! They were so responsive, and obviously were working very hard to make sure everyone had a great stay. Tons of room for people to sleep, visit, and hang out. The house is on a huge wooded lot, and the outside was great too. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Check-in had a small snafu but was quickly resolved with some quick action from the host. The location was tucked away for some peace and quiet we needed but was easy to get to from 50. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen, cozy living space, and comfortable beds. Everything about the stay felt smooth and stress-free.We'd definitely stay here again if we're back in the area, and we'd recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable place to stay.

Thanksgiving week at Woodland Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodland Retreat. Even in November we were able to enjoy the beautiful backyard. We cooked dinner on the grill and had s’mores while enjoying the fire pit. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the whole house and the comfortable beds. The woodland setting is private but convenient to shopping, etc. Hosts are very kind and quick to respond to any questions.

The Woodland Retreat property was quiet and a good location for our fall golf trip. All beds comfortable and the place was very clean. Good hot water for showering and plenty of towels / linens. The Owner was very responsive to all questions we had prior to checkin and during our stay. The Wifi worked well. This is a heavily wooded area and we enjoyed using the firepit and grill. Plenty of room to park if multiple parties are involved. While not real close to many restaurants most will deliver and we opted for this. A nice secluded getaway.

Naval Academy Graduation

Our family was in the area for the Naval Academy graduation so the weekend was somewhat a reunion as well. Many positives: Location, small touches like bottle of wine and two Navy mugs as gifts, cleanliness and proximity to the grocery. The only negative was that the two bedrooms on the upper floor never got cool. A portable air conditioner or window unit would be helpful. We weren’t even there in the heat of the summer. Being more specific in the description on VRBO. Thank you for the use of this lovely home in a lovely setting!
