Beachy, décontracté, maison de bien-être à Southampton est idéalement situé à "The Gateway" à Southampton.

Belle vue sur l'eau depuis le salon principal et la terrasse, plus une piscine privée chauffée. Nous avons 7 vélos et kayaks pour 4, à lancer dans notre rue à l'entrée de «Cold Spring Pond» avec une petite plage, qui mène à la baie Great Peconic. On peut nager depuis cette entrée ou sortir dans l’eau car elle est peu profonde et rafraîchissante.

Nous sommes également à proximité de nombreuses entrées de plage:
-Kayak juste en face de l'étang à une belle plage de la baie.
-Cyclez sur nos 7 vélos (2 pour les enfants) sous un mile de l'entrée d'une autre belle plage;
- Conduisez moins de 3 km jusqu'à une autre entrée de la baie à côté du célèbre parcours de golf Sebonack (où a eu lieu le «Woman’s US Open 2013»).
- La célèbre plage de Coopers est à 6 km.

Installez-vous au bord de notre piscine isolée ou si vous souhaitez vous installer après une baignade sous la douche extérieure, blottissez-vous au coin du feu avec l'un de nos 150 dvds sur place.

Nous avons des couchers de soleil magnifiques tous les soirs depuis nos 2 ponts ainsi que d'incroyables observations d'oiseaux et de ping-pong en plein air pour que vous puissiez jouer même la nuit.

Super grill sur le pont supérieur avec couchers de soleil et repas en plein air pour 12 personnes. Voir les feux d'artifice fantastiques du pont en saison!

Les gens raffolent du confort de la maison et des lits.

Demandez-nous des choses locales à faire ... Voici quelques idées:

Il y a 5 clubs de golf à moins de 5 miles;
(Le club de golf de Shinnecock Hills est à 14 km, où s'est tenu l'US Open des hommes 2018!)

Golf miniature; Practice de golf, cages de frappeur; Location de jet skis, pêche (Nous avons des cannes à pêche sur place pour la baie ou du surf-casting sur l'océan).

Faites un voyage dans le «Musée pour enfants" dans les environs de Sag Harbor; ou le «Parrish Art Museum" où une famille peut apprendre ensemble; OU prendre une facile randonnée romantique à travers les nombreux Reservations-- (il est gratuit) - pour voir les cerfs locaux, la faune, les nids de balbuzards et ont les oiseaux indigènes atterrissent directement sur votre main pour se nourrir de graines et de baies.

"Le Riverhead Aquarium" est à 20 minutes à Riverhead à côté des "Tanger Outlets", ou emmener les enfants bowling sur le chemin du retour.

Un lecteur aventureux de Montauk est de ne pas être missed-- aller observer les baleines ou de requin-pêche! Seal-observation, le surf, la randonnée et le "Montauk Light-House" qui est "la plus-est 'en Amérique (la plus proche de l'Europe), et la communauté des pêcheurs du vieux monde est un délice pour voir ou participer à.

Jet-skis et des bateaux de pêche à petite de la famille sont disponibles dans les environs de Hampton Bays, ainsi que des Antiquités, et les secrètement connus "ventes de garage» qui sont en abondance, ainsi que les «immobiliers» souvent très enrichissantes.

Ou une nuit décontractée de cinéma ou au théâtre Baystreet incroyable pour comédie ou comédie Hall de Guilde locale où les acteurs célèbres sont seen-- ils sont disponibles à Southampton, ainsi que à proximité de Sag Harbor et East Hampton.

This is the fourth stay for our family in his home, and it never disappoints. It is well located near Southampton center, for a quick visit to the shops and restaurants. It's also spacious enough for the family to spend quality time indoors in front of the fireplace. Surrounded by nature, it's a great learning environment for kids. Perfect getaway home

Wonderful home with anything and everything you could want or need. Modern yet cozy home decorated with charm throughout. Hosts have thought of everything so when we arrived we had only to relax and enjoy! Our hosts were very accommodating and communication was terrific. Even our three teenagers all had a great time with no complaints. We would seriously consider a return visit.

Absolutely Perfect!!

This was the perfect romantic birthday weekend getaway. We loved all the beautiful roses around the home, wine, and cheese, and crackers. The fireplace was all set up and ready to go for us as we arrived . The home is beautifully decorated and clean - the kitchen is well stocked. Roger and Amy are excellent hosts and so attentive! We can’t wait to come back to this amazing place!

Great getaway

The property was clean and extremely well stocked (especially the kitchen). Had everything we needed, and the hosts provided several welcome snacks and other goodies, which we really appreciated! The living room area was nice and open, lots of light, with plants to enjoy. Master bed was very comfortable! Lovely to see the pond and bay from the second floor. Great communication from hosts, including several helpful recommendations for local attractions and fishing. Hoping to visit in the summer!

This is one of the most comfortable homes we've ever rented. Perfect for entertaining.

The kitchen is well stocked with anything a chef would require. Good set of knives a real plus. Swimming pool is heated. Nice TV with Netflix and draws full of DVDs. Huge deck with plenty of seating. Quiet neighborhood close to everything. Roger and Amy are excellent hosts, very helpful and gracious. This is our second stay. We'll be back!

Fine house, well located

We stayed for a couple of days in the beautiful Hamptons. This house is fine as a jumping off point for the Hamptons. It’s close to Southampton and some great beaches. We didn’t utilize the pool because of the weather, but it looked like a great pool setup. Only big complaint is that it’s not very clean. All of the rugs are heavily stained. Cupboards are pretty dirty. Just not very clean. Easy fixes if they just replace the carpets. The hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with.

Thank you for your positive comments. We are very sorry for the stains on the staircase rug--As we expressed ahead of your visit: We had previous guests who stained them--had them professionally cleaned--and have purchased a replacement rug ,yet we mentioned we needed a moment to have installed. In addition, we expressed to you the morning you were arriving, that the Cleaners let us know that same morning that the guests who departed that morning had stained another rug. We did mention it to you just when they told us and apologized. It is now replaced! For the cupboards, we are so well-stocked, though will make a point to ask the Cleaners, as well as personally make it our business to keep them very clean. It's a moving target that we are always striving to improve as needed!

5 Star Amenities!!

First of all, the home was even nicer than we had imagined! The wonderful light in the living room from all 4 exposures was really lovely. So bright, light and airy. Then the bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of room to relax. The decorations were tasteful and chic, yet comfortable and cosy. The little touches the owners had waiting for us were really a nice surprise: Wine with cheese & crackers, fresh coffee, cookies, bowl of fruit, nuts, chocolates on every pillow. Who does that anymore? A truly relaxing stay - we didn't use the pool since still too early in the season but it sparkled and looked nice! Will definitely come again!

We really enjoyed our stay! although the house is old and worn out in some spots, its very tastefully decorated and cared for. i appreciated the live plants and candles that were set out. we stayed in beg of May and although the pool heater was on for 6 hours it was still at 75 and too cold to enjoy. but the pool area was beautiful and im sure would be enjoyed more during the summer months. we didnt end up biking/kayaking but the bikes looked great and had we had more time we wouldve enjoyed them too. the beach chairs and towels were very useful. for clarity, the bottom floor where you walk in has 2 full baths and 3 bedrooms. 1 with king bed, 1 with queen bed, and 1 with 2 twin beds. comfortable and homey. upstairs is half bath and 1 large open room with a kitchen on 1 end, dining area facing the water in the middle and the lounge/living area with fireplace at the other end. the upper deck has big table and nice sitting area. the ac/heat worked well when we were there in May but notice the magnetic covers for the vents on the bottom floor that when used, allows for more air flow upstairs when it gets hot.the waterflow isnt great but i think its the same for all in that areaits near a busy street which made it harder to get out. coopers beach is nice and nearby Meschutt bay beach for kidsi paid off season price and for that it was worth it. i dont think id pay the summer price for what we got. Hosts were very patient and helpful with all questions and answered timely.

Extremely Disappointed

The property presented lovely in photos but the home was filthy. All of the outdoor chairs were so dirty , we could not sit on them unless Putting a towel down. The grill is broken, the faucets in home are broken and do not keep temperature of water even. There is only one Zone for temperature control so we had to freeze ourselves downstairs in order to keep upstairs cool. The bikes are filthy and not usable and I believe the canoe and kayak will sink if you attempt to use them. Oh and the beach chairs were filthy and falling apart. Bring your own. I am not the type to write negative reviews but I totally felt ripped off for the price. A home at this price point should be kept up and cleaned better.

Hi Gerard, We appreciate your shared concerns & take them very seriously... They were unexpected & we are quite dismayed!! We would have promptly responded to all if brought to our attention during your stay & apologize for your inconvenience and disappointment. In hoping to keep-up with our 53 previous 5-Star Reviews, we've addressed everything you mentioned: - CLEANLINESS - We did note the morning before your arrival that the outdoor cushions were covered in Pollen, so we made a point to clean them well then. Though at that time of year, it just keeps coming 🙁. * We've asked the our Professional Cleaning Service to keep on top of that if we are not present. They did clean thoroughly before your arrival & we always personally try to follow-up meticulously-- checking that all is super-clean after them. So we are honestly not sure why the house itself would have been called-out as filthy, other than perhaps the age of the wood floors? * We pay our best attention to every inch... Rest-assured cleanliness of all will remain our top priority! - GRILL - We just bought a New Grill so it's working super-well! (Also we provide a 2nd Full Propane tank in case the 1st runs out during a stay.) - FAUCETS - All working great!-- Cold & Hot as needed, & steady. One has been adjusted with the Plumber's help. - A/C-HEATING ZONE - To keep very comfortable we provide instructions at the house to continue pushing the air upstairs as we do (with covered vents) & to keep the upper ceiling fans on in summer. It works very well that way. * We also provide cozy blankets & comforters to keep it extra-nice for sleeping! - BIKES - Our prior guests have reported enjoying our bikes very much & we keep them in the bike shed to keep away from the elements. With your comment though, we've updated some bikes, as sometimes guests forget to return them to the shed & rust may develop. * We also provide a Tire-Pump to keep them ready to ride. - BEACH CHAIRS - Also buying some new beach chairs as over This Summer's Use, some did indeed get broken! *In the past we didn't provide any, so we consider them an additional perk! - KAYAKS- In the shed we have 3 excellent Kayaks + life jackets for 6 people that our previous guests loved! (We think you simply mistook an old canoe & kayak in the corner side yard-- which we do not advertise to use, as you are correct-- those are not for current use 🙂.) * The other 3 are great fun to use in our street's Pond / Bay! * We also have a Roller to get them there. Also want to mention that the comparable July-pricing for your stay was reflective of that time rather than most other times of year. We'll continue paying closer attention to our Guest Services as well as reflect the accuracy in our photos, so as to ensure a better vacation!

Southampton July 4-11

My family and I stayed for one week and the rental was not worth what we paid! Our Experience was as follows: Outside yard area and plantings were very pretty and the Pool was beautiful. The surrounding area to the pool had very limited space and the bricks that surround the pool need repair. All of the lounge chairs were filthy/mold. Kayaks were filthy as were the beach chairs that are kept outside. Lower deck had ping pong table with furniture that needed power washing as they were filled with mold. Upper deck was very nice and clean. However, barbecue was not operable and clearly was not checked ahead of our arrival. Owner was however very responsive to find us a new barbecue, yet we lost 2 days of grilling. Air conditioning has only one zone which poses a challenge as the downstairs gets extremely cold (we like it cold so NP for us) while the upstairs stays warm. ALL the toilets do not flush properly with exception of half bath upstairs and the water pressure in the kitchen sink is very low. Owners did make the inside very presentable and were kind and thoughtful enough to leave snacks, coffee, chocolates and extra condiments in the refrigerator. The majority of the cabinet doors in the kitchen need repair and fall off their hinges if you are not careful. TVs all worked and we had access to all streaming services. Beds and linens were excellent but the laundry machine and dryer are very old and rusty inside and need replacement. Bathrooms are old.

Hi Gregg, Thanks for your few positive comments. Regarding the rest of your thoughts, we have since improved all that you specified! And we are always available to send over help during your stay when contacted, as displayed with buying a new barbeque the day after you asked for one. - Also important to note, at the premium time of the summer you rented, our pricing was aligned with comparable Hampton rentals. Below are details to how we've addressed your concerns: - BARBECUE: We purchased, delivered and set-up a brand new Weber Grill the day after your arrival even though it was still working. (You reported that you grilled the first night at a lower temperature, and the guest who left 1 day before you grilled with no issues.) - In the meantime we let you know we had another old-fashioned grill with wood, fire-starters and coal to use. - POOL: In one portion we saw the bricks were a bit crooked, so we have fixed. We've never had a complaint about the side-size around the pool (See pool photos). - LOUNGE CHAIRS: We will clean those closer to arrivals and have a whisk brush onsite as well. (Pollen has been particularly bad this year, covering the furniture quickly... nature!) - KAYAKS: One of them has camouflage paint for fishing so it may appear dirty. We just cleaned them well and will continue to do so. Others are inside a Kayak Shed and we've always had super-positive responses! We also have Rollers to get them to our street beach. (Between guests, they may get less clean after using—and you arrived on July 4th, just after another guest departed.) - BEACH CHAIRS: We consider them an extra perk!... and we now have newer beach chairs. (Since guests always use, they may have gotten sandy.) - PING-PONG: We power-washed the surrounding furniture since your visit and bought New cushions! The ping-pong table is a professional-grade table, in good shape with all needed to play....new rackets and balls! - A/C: We have added new vent covers that are used to cover the downstairs vents which has evened-out the indoor temperatures. No longer too cold downstairs! (In addition, we include in our booklet to use the Upstairs Fans-- and keeping all vents open there to keep that cooler.) - TOILETS: All toilets Do flush properly—though The Hamptons has an abnormally low water level. So, we use a great product--now more-so, to keep all flushing properly & stronger. - KITCHEN SINK: This has full force. We point out in our booklet, that if you accidentally push the small triangular piece at the end of the faucet, it will change to a lower water force. (After your visit, we noted 1 Cabinet door in the kitchen was almost off it's hinges and had not been prior...) - WASHER & DRYER: These are in perfect working condition...both clean and dry well. We provide detergents & softeners. We do apologize if any rust Outside makes them look imperfect. - BATHROOMS: Photos of all of the bathrooms are in our listing to view, and most all parts are very new! : Handles / Showerheads / Lighting / Shades / Art / Mirrors / Towels / Bathmats / Soaps / Hair Products / Hair Dryers. We are always available during your stay to fix anything and do appreciate feedback to help us improve our property.

A beautiful magical home!

There are many reasons why we decided to come back. The house is perfectly located, tucked in the inlet, with beautiful views of the water. It feels private and secluded but yet is an easy drive to the village of Southampton. The house itself is clean, bright and airy. Our hosts were wonderful and prepared the house to meet our every need. My wife and I highly recommend staying her if you want a beautiful place home with great ambience and conveniently located near all the best that the Hamptons have to offer. We hope to be back very soon!!

Wonderful girl getaway

This was our first females only family vacation. And it was just what we were looking for. Very relaxing and comfortable. The home is spacious, private and beautiful. Amy and Roger responded right away to any questions prior to and during our stay. It was a wonderful vacation.

Thought of everything!

Great home in the Hamptons. Complete with bicycles, kayaks, wine, cheese and nuts on arrival, fully stocked kitchen and patio grill all bath amenities and wonderful hosts Amy and Roger. Highly recommended

Wonderful Getaway

The pool area and landscaping are beautiful, and the living room/kitchen area has an expansive and relaxing feel which we enjoyed. The hosts were always responsive and welcoming. Thumbs up.

Coming here for the last 32 years at my parent's 2nd home made me want to spend time out here.
European husband came here for work and never left after we met, having bonded right here in this town.

Husband and wife met in the Hamptons on a bench and fell in love. We chose to move out of NYC and buy this house as 'the open feel spoke to us', where we met, as well I grew up coming to my parent's nearby vacation home which was the ultimate in a soothing escape.

We searched probably 70 homes in area. (We were particular in the feel). We really wanted to have an 'OPEN' feel in the living area. We loved the open kitchen to living area feel--and the fact we had a Water view. The intimacy of the bedrooms and private pool area made us feel at home. We also loved the 'rock garden' curb appeal and overall family-friendly neighborhood.
