We’re sorry that this stay did not meet your expectations. However, we do want to clarify several points for future guests reading this review. When the reported concerns were brought to our attention, our management team promptly inspected and addressed the areas identified. The conditions found were localized discoloration/surface growth and condensation around portions of the HVAC registers, not evidence of widespread mold contamination. The localized condensation and discoloration occurred around portions of the HVAC registers, where temperature differences between the cold conditioned air and the surrounding warmer, humid air can result in moisture accumulating around the registers. The affected areas were cleaned, and we have photographs documenting the condition of the property and the same HVAC registers following our response. We also conduct thorough property inspections between every stay and had hosted 24 parties at the property this year without similar or concerning feedback, resulting in 10/10 reviews from each past guest. We take any report regarding the condition of our property seriously and responded accordingly. While we regret that you chose to end your stay, we believe the reported conditions were appropriately addressed and that the property remained clean, safe, and habitable. We also respectfully disagree with the characterization that we were “unconcerned” or that we attempted to “cover up” an issue. We communicated with you, investigated the concerns reported, took corrective action, and provided our documentation to Vrbo for review. We understand that you were disappointed with our decision regarding your refund request, but that decision was based on the findings of our inspection and the steps taken to address the reported concerns. We’re sorry that your experience this time did not reflect the positive experience you had at the property years ago, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective.
