Gorgeous, newly renovated condo on the parade route! Located in the stately Graham Building, this warm and cozy condo has all you need including a balcony with beautiful french doors, A perfect view for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade and more. In the heart of historic Savannah, you can walk to most destinations. The bedroom has a queen bed and there are twin sleeper chairs in the living room (ideal for children but can sleep almost anyone). The kitchen is complete with all new appliances but yet still boasts a little historic character in the cabinetry. Located across from one of the main parking garages, you can park and enjoy your vacation on foot. One block away from Broughton Street for all your shopping and dining desires.
We visited Savannah for a long weekend but weren't renting a car so the location was most important. This unit was in the perfect spot. Just steps to Broughton (including Leopold's and all the other shops/restaurants), Oglethorpe and Reynolds squares, a hop-on-hop-off trolley stop (at Lucas Theater). Pro tip: go out the back door and you're even closer to Broughton. We were a few blocks from just about everything else. The unit has a well equipped kitchen which we didn't really use but appreciated. The living room has a smart TV and two chairs. The bathroom is small and the shower was tight for me, but my wife had less of an issue. There's quite a bit of daytime and early evening foot traffic along the side street the unit faces, but not too much vehicle traffic, and not too much later at night. A sound machine was provided to drown out the usual city noises. We didn't notice it being louder than anywhere else we've stayed, and it was certainly quieter than some units we looked at booking that were even closer to the bars/restaurants. The balcony was great to have some outdoor space, we were lucky with great weather so we were able to sit outside each day, especially good for people watching. Communication with the host Kathy was quick and easy. All in all it was a good trip that was made better by the unit we booked.
The apartment was very cute and cozy. Very nicely remodeled and charming. It had everything one would need. I loved the location. Just one block from Broughton Street with many good restaurants and shopping. It was also a very easy and short walk to the riverfront. It is right on Oglethorpe square which was lovely. Having a parking garage across the street was very convenient and it was inexpensive to park there.
We had such a great stay, from the check-in/communication, to the location, to the little details of the apartment. It was everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. We didnât even use our car one time we were able to walk from here all the way south to Forsyth and north to the river. The balcony was also such a nice addition, we enjoyed it morning and night. We would definitely stay here again!
Arrived a day late due to hurricane damage to my own property but had a wonderful stay. Such a beautiful unit in a cute, older building. The bathroom had modern amenities and was atheistically pleasing to the eyes. The check in goodies left by the owner was a perfect touch. The only downside is there is never any available parking in front of the building so you are somewhat forced to use the cityâs parking deck beside the building and parking isnât validated. Otherwise,
Pros: Great location, charming historic building, nicely renovated, great space for 2 people, Cute balcony, Communication with the owner was outstanding.
Cons: bathroom and stand alone tub/shower is small. Curtains around Window a/c - makes it hard to keep bright street light out but found a solution by tying up bottom of curtain.
Will definitely consider this when returning. The unit and the owner made it well worth it!
