The Game Barn gives everyone somewhere to play, while the open-plan home makes cooking, eating & relaxing easy.

THE GAME BARN

This is where the fun starts. Challenge the group to pool, axe toss, basketball, cornhole, Giant Jenga or Yardzee - then settle down for movie night on the 17-foot cinema screen. Everything is private and exclusive to your group.

THE OUTDOORS

The Game Barn, cowboy pool and grill shack are connected by string lights, with the fire pit at the center.

You can swim, cook, play games, watch a movie or simply sit around the fire, without leaving the property.

The cowboy pool is heated to 85°F year round as standard and included with your stay.

Want a hot soak? Upgrade to 104°F. Prefer a cold plunge? Go as low as 55°F. Both are available through your Guest Portal for $15/night.

The property is surrounded by Hill Country wildlife, and deer and foxes regularly visit.

Great place to stay. We had a great time just hanging out in the cleanest place i’ve stayed. the kitchen was amazing. we loved all of the games and the campfire. the pool was awesome as well. really would recommend. it was quiet and cozy as well

Great Getaway Spot

My group enjoyed our stay for a long weekend. House was super clean and easily fit 8 of us. We enjoyed our time hanging out by the pit and shooting pool. Host was easy to communicate with and checked in to see if anything was needed. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect home.

My family and I stayed to celebrate a high school graduation. It accomodated my family with room to spare. This home has everything we needed. My family felt cozy and it had a homey feeling. We will def stay at this home again.

Perfect getaway

The house was Immaculate. Very clean house and everything was just as described. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely return. Host was very attentive and responsive to our texts. We felt very comfortable at our mini getaway. This is a place we would recommend to others.

Me and some of my friends stayed here this past weekend for a quick birthday celebration and get away. And it was the perfect place. It was amazing. The host was the best host I have ever dealt with. She was very quick to respond to messages and always available. The house was very clean and relaxing. It was very kid friendly with lots of fun activities for the whole family ro enjoy. When arrived it was such a breeze to check in. We arrived and it was so nice to literally walk in place things in the rooms and been able to start enjoying ourselves due to simple rules and clear explanation on how to navigate things. The host did a marvelous job on communicating. I will be staying here again and sharing with friemds and family so they can enjoy this amazing experience.

A family who needed space, and accessibility

I had a party of 8, two of which were small children and 2 who were elderly, with limited capacity to move around. The house was great and very accessible for my uncle with Parkinson's. It had space and everything else you may needs for a 3 days getaway. It was well equipped and modern. Joanna was a great host, paying attention to details, answering questions promptly, was nice and polite. The house was very clean, along with everything else in it. It was a close drive to a big supermarket, gas station, places to eat, nature trails and other major landmarks around the area. I definitely recommend this house and plan on going back.

I can't recommend this property highly enough! The host was an absolute pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She responded quickly to every message and was even kind enough to make accommodations for my family.The home is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and fully furnished with everything you could possibly need, so there's no need to pack much. It was comfortable, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The property also offers plenty to do and is located in a safe, convenient area just minutes from both Canyon Lake and the Guadalupe River.This was truly one of the best vacation homes we've ever stayed in. I honestly can't say enough great things about it. If you're considering booking this property, don't hesitate—you won't be disappointed! We will definitely be staying here again. 10/10!

Our journey into hosting started in an unexpected place: skateparks. Drafty warehouses in winter, sun-baked concrete in summer, and years travelling the world for WCMX competitions. With so much time on the road we stayed in more short-term rentals than we can count, often out of necessity due to allergies and accessibility needs. Those experiences taught us how much the small details matter, and they shaped the kind of spaces we now create for guests.
What started as a personal project has grown into Pathfinder Vacations, now my full time focus, managing multiple properties across the Texas Hill Country. Our son is nearly grown and travels to competitions on his own these days, but the lessons from those years on the road, particularly around accessibility and genuinely thoughtful hosting, are built into everything we do.

The Game Barn has welcomed 53 guest reviews with all but one a perfect five stars, and has been awarded Guest Favourite, placing it in the top 10% of listings. It remains one of our most loved properties to share with families, groups and friends looking for a proper Hill Country getaway.
