Welcome to "An Appalachian Hideaway," a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath log cabin nestled in the heart of the Carolina Mountains. This perfect mountain retreat offers a serene escape surrounded by nature's beauty.

As you approach, you'll be captivated by the cabin's rustic charm and picturesque setting. The cabin boasts a stunning mountain view that can be enjoyed from various vantage points. Step inside, and you'll be greeted by vaulted ceilings that create a sense of openness and warmth. The knotty pine flooring adds a touch of character, complementing the solid wood doors throughout.

The main floor features tile flooring, with 10-foot ceilings that enhance the spacious feel of the living areas. A wood-burning stove, set on a large stone slab, provides both ambiance and backup heat for those chilly mountain nights. The stained pine trim adds a cozy finishing touch to the interior. There is a large flatscreen TV with streaming channels for curling up and watching a good movie on those cool evenings.

The kitchen offers stainless Kitchen Aid appliances, a beautiful marble countertop, and plenty of wainscotting throughout.

Down the hallway, you will find a shared hallway bath and two bedrooms. The first is the primary bedroom complete with Sleep Number mattress. You are sure to dream the night away in this king size bed. There is flatscreen TV as well for falling asleep to your favorite TV show. The other bedroom features two twin beds (trundle style) and a flatscreen TV – a great space for kids.

Take the steps downstairs and you will find another bedroom, bath and laundry area. The comfy bedroom offers a queen bed and flatscreen TV.

Step outside, and you'll discover the lovingly planned landscaping, including a firepit area perfect for gathering with friends and family. A hot tub awaits, providing a relaxing soak to melt away the cold days and nights, allowing you to bask in the beauty of the surrounding mountains. The porch off the main level offers rocking chairs, a swing and even a gas grill.

The location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, as the cabin is just 5 minutes away from Railroad Grade Road, Todd, and the New River. Enjoy tubing, kayaking, and fishing in the nearby river, or simply take in the natural wonders of the area.

Appalachian State University and Boone is just a short 20-minute drive away from the cabin. Visit your students for a weekend or take in one of the many athletic or arts events at the university.

Or venture into West Jefferson, a 20-minute drive as well, where you will find a quaint downtown complete with unique shops and restaurants. Wilkesboro is a 30-minute drive.
