just 200 steps away from the waters edge of Burt Lake!

This cozy Indian River home is minutes from everything northern Michigan has to offer. Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City are all within 25 minutes. Walking distance to downtown Indian River restaurants, breweries, and entertainment. Visiting in the summer, be sure to bring your boat and cruise the inland waterway all the way to Lake Huron. If you are visiting in the Winter, bring your snowmobile, as you will have access to hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails only 2 blocks away. If skiing is something you enjoy, Nub’s Nob and Boyne Highlands are a 25 minute drive. Cooperation Park in Indian River offers ice skating and a sledding hill for winter fun and tennis and pickleball for summer fun.

Enjoy end of the road access to Burt Lake; just 200 steps away. You can also can find DeVoe Public Beach an easy 1 block walk. Ken’s Market is 2 blocks away for all of your grocery needs. You can enjoy tubing, rafting, or kayaking on the Sturgeon River at Big Bear Adventures just a 1/2 mile away. North Central State Bike/Walking Trail can be accessed within 2 blocks. Miles of other trails are also a short drive away. Numerous wineries and breweries to be experienced. Golf courses galore within a 30 minute drive or play the Indian River Gold Club just a few minutes away.

Explore some two track dirt roads and look for Elk. Hit the Sturgeon River or the Pigeon River for some relaxing fly fishing.

Plenty of off street parking for 4 cars or your boat or snowmobile trailer.

Nice comfortable house. Good value for the money. Very nice relaxed neighborhood with people walking or the occasional golf cart. Easy few minutes walks to shops, restaurants, and grocery store. Small public beach down the block, with the town beach about 3 blocks walk. Beautiful lake. We would rent here again.

I was very pleased that the house was cool during some very hot summer days! It was my only concern, and the a/c in the living room kept the whole house cool, and the bedroom fan was great! A lovely home, would recommend.

This was a great house in a really nice location. Close to Devoe Beach/park and a great jumping off point for day trips around northern Michigan. Easy walk to grocery store, ice cream and restaurants. We loved this neighborhood!

A Blue Gem

My family of 6 found this home to be very comfortable, clean, and accommodating. Close to beach access, the store, coffee, restaurants, and boat launches. The host was great to communicate with, and very friendly. We came for the Forth of July, and the parade and fireworks did not disappoint! I’ve been visiting IR since I was a baby and it is my favorite place to always come back to. While providing plenty activities of its own, only a short drive from Petoskey, Cheyboygan, Mackinaw City, and just a few hours from Pictures Rocks, it is situated in the perfect spot.

My family and I came here on vacation. It was the first time being out of the country for me. My husband and I chose this home due to it being in a nice quiet area. We both live very busy lives full of noise and many people. This trip was also a trip for me to meet my mother in law for the first time and for my husband to see his mom who he hasn’t seen in almost 20 years due to travel. I would always come back here in the future.

Fabulous and Clean Weekend Getaway

We loved our stay!! It was the perfect place for our family of 5. Beds were so comfy, location was excellent, and only a short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. The house was clean and accommodating, and the soak tub was my favorite!!! We will absolutely be back!!

Great Place

It was clean and had everything that we needed. Nice large bathroom with a shower and tub. Beds were very comfortable. Great location. Very nicely furnished. Kitchen was huge and appliances were very nice. Beautiful location.

Mike's property is absolutely beautiful. Just a short walk to the water and close to town, a perfect location! We loved the license plate artwork! Such a comfortable, lovely stay. We would recommend Mike's place to anyone!

I rented this home to host a family dinner. The house itself is nicely decorated and the location is excellent.That said, what we found in the freezer was unacceptable.On the second day of our stay, my brother bought a bag of ice that would not fit in the freezer. When we rearranged items to make space, we discovered a large, extremely old hairball. This was not a small or recent mess. It was obvious it had been there for a long time and had not been cleaned.It was appalling and frankly made me sick.I requested a refund of the cleaning fee. The owner refused.Instead, they focused on the fact that I had unregistered guests at the home and stated they were choosing not to charge me for that. Apparently, having people over for dinner violates their rules. That is their right, but this restriction should be clearly disclosed on the booking page. Most people reasonably assume hosting a family dinner is allowed unless explicitly stated otherwise.What was most disappointing was not the rule itself. It was the response. Rather than apologizing for the condition of the freezer, the owner claimed that we must have brought the hairball in ourselves.That response tells you everything you need to know.Indian River is a beautiful area and I would absolutely recommend visiting. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying at this property or any property owned by these hosts. Not becau

GREAT Location for Anytime Getaway

We appreciate Indian River's central location for trips to surrounding towns as we build our new home in Cheboygan, MI.Maison Bleu is an ideal place to stay. It is conveniently located near dining options, a coffee shop, and a grocery store. The bed and living room seating were comfortable. We also loved the creative vibe throughout the house.Mike was a responsive and gracious host. We're already planning our next visit.

Weekend getaway

This place is such a cute little house that is newly renovated. It was really clean as well. The back yard is beautiful! I wish we would have had time to enjoy the deck. I’ll definitely be back.

I love doing everything Northern Michigan has to offer. I never get tired of the lakes, rivers and trails right out the front door from Maison Bleu. I like the outdoors so much, I built out a camper van from a Dodge Promaster and love traveling all around to see new places and find new adventures. So, while I’m away, I wanted to give people the opportunity to come enjoy everything Indian River and the surrounding areas have to offer. I think you will love the area as much as I do.

This friendly neighborhood has a resort feel to it. You are walking distance to everything in the heart of Indian River. People get around on foot or golf cart.

Whether you come to watch the fireworks, the top O’ Michigan boat races, hang out at the local festivals or just relax at the beach, this property is at the heart of it all. From the full size regulation shuffle board court in the front yard, you can view the water on Burt Lake as you play a game. Come hang out and feel like a local, you will definitely want to come back each year.
