This garden level apartment is perfect for a single tenant or a couple looking for a newly renovated fully furnished home to rest in short term (long term contracts can be discussed).

The apartment is located in a bustling and coveted part of South Portland. It is a 5 min walk to Willard Beach, 10 min walk to Bug Light and Spring Point and SMCC, a 20 min walk to Fort Williams Park, and borders on Cape Elizabeth. Included in Willard Square is the beloved Scratch Bakery and Scoops Ice Cream Shop. Other dining, restaurants, markets, and shops within walking distance. Downtown Portland is a 5 min drive (or 20 min walk).

The apartment is in the base level of an owner occupied residence, a separate entrance is used to access the private Accessory Dwelling Unit apartment. Shared amenities are an onsite barrel sauna and fire-pit in the backyard.

This rental was amazing! Wonderful attention to detail and fresh cut flowers to greet us really made us feel welcome. Spotlessly clean and such a beautiful custom built kitchen and other furniture items throughout. Highly recommend this rental if you're looking for a nice place in South Portland.

Awesome Excellent Stay in South Portland

Came to Portland for a wedding and stayed in a wonderful, clean one bedroom VRBO in South Portland. The place and host were excellent. My only wish is that I should have stayed longer.

Lovely property & host.

Amazing zen like atmosphere, quiet, clean & peaceful place to HQ to go about and explore Portland. The neighborhood felt like home & everyone was nice. Lovely neighborhood with lots of choices

I was able to take great walks around the neighborhood, go to the beach, and the hosts were remarkabl\y friendly but not overbearing. My only complaint is the apartment is full of rugs that don’t have backings, so I was slipping a lot and once fell right onto my knees, but no major damage was done. It was a basement a-argument so the noise of dehumidifiers became a steady background noise. We really enjoyed our stay regardless.

Clean, Relaxing Retreat in South Portland

We stayed in Genell’s home for 4 days during our trip to Maine. The space was exactly as advertised, was very clean, and was furnished beautifully. Genell provided us with plenty of recommendations for the area and was a quick and efficient communicator. The South Portland neighborhood was central to all of the activities we had planned to do and was a sweet, serene escape from the big city we traveled from. Thank you Genell and family!

Worked great!

Travel nurse spouse was there for an extended stay. Everything was super, his commute was only about 10 minutes. Close to the water, and he enjoyed watching the boats go by. Hosts were super accommodating, and we couldn't have been happier. Thank you!

Can't beat the location

Pro: location, cleanliness, comfort of the bed, adorable kitchen and welcoming living room and, if you are into yoga and meditation there is a nice room for that too. I also felt very, very safe here. Con: The way the door opens (into the apartment) which makes you have to do a odd little jig and balance at the top of the stairs in order to close the door. The stairs are also awkward. It is a basement and, therefore, not especially sunny but that was to be expected.

Great Apartment in South Portland

We had a wonderful time at this apartment and surrounding areas. There is a neighborhood bakery .2 miles from the apartment that we went to every morning with fresh bagels and coffee. There are a bunch of things within walking distance to do; a beach about 7 minute walk; Fort Wiliams was about 2 miles away and had a great lighthouse and views of the water. Downtown Portland was about 5-10 minute drive. The apartment is in the basement of the hosts home and has everything you would need in amenities. The space was very clean and host left us fresh flowers upon our arrival for a nice personal touch. My wife and I would highly recommend this place for a couple.

Very Clean and Neat

The coffe beans and grinder were a great addition. Recommend in the bathroom: more hooks for hanging towels (one was coming out of the wall) and a wall mount shaving/make up mirror as the wall mirror is too far from the bathroom sink. A "duck" sign or image of a duck coming down the stairs as the ceiling is low. A less wide bed side table so the bed can be pulled away from the wall more. Make the price to include the "cleaning cost" and not an add on. We would consider staying again when in South Portland.
