House was originally very beautiful. Unfortunately everything needs a lot of maintenance. Deck has nail heads backing out. Front door and upstairs door to porch leak. There’s mold on the ceiling of the loft that’s black. Refrigerator, microwave and washer stopped or never did work. Cobb reality that oversees the house rental was very responsive and amazing to deal with. They brought another refrigerator that was already cold as soon as I called and told them. The same thing goes with the microwave. I will definitely use Cobb Reality again with one of the other houses they manage but we will not stay at this location again.

Mixed Emotions
We loved the location and neighborhood. We've stayed in other homes in Biscayne. The home is a bit more aged than the pictures indicate. The decks are very old, not painted, and worn with lots of raised nails and splinters. The ceiling inside needs to be painted and the slip covers and pillows on the furniture are stained. The bunk beds all have very thin matresses but the other beds are mostly comfortable enough for a few days. The rugs in the living room and main bedroom cause you to slip when you walk on them and in our experience had mounds of dirt and sand under them. We swept under them during our stay after seeing the amount of dirt. Linens were clean and towels were wrapped in plastic. The kitchen was stocked well will pots, pans, and dishes but be sure to bring any spices including S&P as well as hand soap. Overall the home has amazing potential and is decorated just as the pictures show. Unfortunately it has an "over used rental" feel and not well maintained. For the price and the neighborhood we expected better. We do vacation rentals a lot with our family and typically do not complain but had to about the condition of the decks upon arriving. They were very dirty and covered in green mold. No way to sit on the deck and enjoy the sunset. The management company responded promptly and sent someone to clean them the same day. In the end our stay was very nice with great weather and family time so all is well that ends well.

Overall my family and I enjoyed our vacation. The house was a nice size, nice location, and we all enjoyed the art work! The only things we felt it was lacking were 1) ceiling fans (it got hot)2) window coverings on the downstairs windows. This would have been nice for a bit more privacy but also would have helped with how hot it got. 3) better cable option. It would have been nice to be able to watch the Astros games, 4) better refrigerator. The freezer drawer was hard to open and close due to rust and the top doors would pop open if you didn’t close them both at the same time. 5) cleaner outdoor trash cans. When we arrived the smell was awful. There were shrimp heads or fish or something stinking it up that we could smell all the way upstairs. The next day was trash pick up thank goodness but when we took our first bag of trash downstairs and opened the can we were greeted by a can full of maggots. Needless to say everyone dreaded having to take the trash out from there on out. 6) no one used the upstairs shower because it did not drain well at all. 7) we had to clean out the washer and dryer before using due to the amount of sand left in the drum. It was a lot. 8) we had to purchase a dust pan. Maybe I’m just a clean freak but I had to sweep the floors and there was not a dustpan to be found. We left it there for the next renters to enjoy. We loved the Biscayne neighborhood and I wouldn’t be opposed to staying here again but I think we are going to try another house next time.
