Sack Lunch! Come visit Dauphin Island where every day is on Island time!

Sack Lunch!
You will be on Island time once you arrive! You will have access to bikes, paddle boards, fishing rods/gear and kayaks. You will only be a short scenic drive to all the great Dauphin Island restaurants and beaches. A bike ride to the art galleries, putt putt, island aquarium and the ferry. Sack Lunch has all the beach equipment you will need for a day on the waves. After a fun-filled day on the sand come back and relax on the porches and the deck , where you can unwind as people walk and ride their bikes down the quite street and always wave and say hey. The Master bedroom is large enough to hang out in when the festivities get a little loud in the living/kitchen area, just in case you'd like some quite time. The back porch is perfect for retreating for a more secluded hang out spot. There are sleeping bags and a blow up mattress for when the kids want to crash in the living room :) So come to the island and make some memories that you and your family will never forget!

Host was easy to work with and very accommodating. All of the amenities and furnishings are nice and new. Great locale on Dauphin Island. We worked in Theodore for the week and made the drive in every morning.

Great house, great amenities. Loved being able to ride bikes to the beach. If youre so inclined its not a ling drive to NoLa for a daytrip. Lots of good seafood in the area. Host is very reponsive and helpful.

Honeymoon retreat

This place was amazing! We loved all the details and the many outdoor entertainment items. We only used the boogie boards but wished we’d had more time for all the other adventures the home owner provided for even more fun in the water, on the island, or even just at the house. Only comment I’ll make even remotely towards the negative is that the listing does sway the renter to believe it’s on the water, but it isn’t. However, we could feel the ocean breeze from the deck the entire time and there were several beach’s close enough to drive to.

Early graduation present

Our daughter chose the Alabama Shores as her graduation trip. We chose Dauphin Island for its quiet retreat. We had an amazing stay, made a lot of memories and the house was perfect for our stay! We had no extra room in our vehicle, so it was great to have all the beach necessities available at the house! We will recommend this place to others! Thanks Chris for everything!

Soul rejuvenating weekend

I've had more grief in 4 months than I ever thought possible. I just needed me time... My stay at Sack Lunch was everything I was looking for and more. Great communication with host. Clean, accurately described. Quiet neighborhood. Tons of extras. So much so I booked a 2nd trip while staying.

Island Time

From my follow up after my booking to check ins through my stay Chris made sure I was taken care of! I can’t say enough good things about our stay. This property has it all! Toys and games for the kids and family for indoor activities to bikes, paddle boards, and kayaks for outdoor activities! You forgot something? Don’t worry because Chris probably has it at the property for you! Nestled on a quiet street and lot allowed for lots of outdoor activities to wear out a 6 year old. Close enough for nice walk/ride to the bakery for breakfast. Don’t hesitate renting this property for your family to enjoy a trip to Dauphin Island! You won’t regret it!

Great Property

Great property, great location. Love the name “Sack Lunch”😆 Quiet neighborhood close to everything. House had everything you’ll need and really felt like home. Outstanding host! Checked in on us to make sure everything was good. Had a problem with the grill and Chris took care of it ASAP! My child loved all the toys, books & games. They even have a telescope! Dauphin island and Sack Lunch is a perfect place to relax!

This property and host were amazing. The house has every single thing you could need. You forgot something for the beach, sand toys, boogie board, life jacket? Not a worry because he had that stuff there. He also has kayaks and paddle boards, bikes, yard games, floating lily pad, fishing poles and so much more. The host was very responsive to any questions I had, which were allot since our Family of 5 had never done a beach vacation before. He made recommendations on where to eat and he wasn’t wrong, they were great! We definitely plan on coming back but next time we are bringing our friends to the island as well

Nothing Short of Amazing

This home is beautiful and spacious. We took our four children ages 5 to 13; everyone had plenty of space. The environment is so calming. We felt safe, relaxed, and happy. The home is in a central space close to the ferry, beaches and shops. The host was so kind and ensured we had checked in without any problems. He gave wonderful recommendations for kayaking. The house has board games and outdoor games. We enjoyed playing corn hole daily, the kids loved using the bikes and we utilized the body boards at the beach. Dauphin Island was the perfect break from reality. I couldn’t imagine a better home to vacation in.

Amazing

This place was amazing! It was very clean, and they thought of everything you might need or forgot to bring. We loved the openness; my 10-month-old was able to crawl around without me having to worry. The neighborhood was quite and safe my 15 year old was able to ride the bikes up and down the street. Would recommend 100%

Amazing!!!

Our little family had the best time here! We really like the location of the house, it is very peaceful and not in a busy area. Sit on the deck at night or in the morning and listen to the birds, we could also hear the waves crashing at times. Everything you need is at this house! Extra towels, beach towels, chairs and toys for the beach, toiletries and even shampoos/body wash, laundry soap, pillows, blankets. Etc. I loved the jacuzzi tub and big shower! The couches and beds are comfy and the house is just so beautiful and clean! We rented a golf cart while we were there and that made it so fun and easy to just load up and explore the island and go to the beaches. The East end beach was our favorite and it’s just right down the road from the house. The kids really liked the aquarium and Islanders restaurant was our favorite! The host, Chris, is the best!
