We have implemented various measures to ensure that you can experience high-quality sleep by offering the trifecta of cool, dark, and quiet surroundings. Additionally, we have taken soundproofing measures including installing spray foam insulation and double-paned windows to ensure a quiet atmosphere. Adjacent to the sleeping area is the tiled bathroom, offering lots of light, a large mirror, and a glass enclosed shower. A rainfall shower head and a handheld shower await to soothe guests with cascades of warm water. Our small, but functional living area, decorated with vibrant murals, boasts a floor plan that seamlessly connects the sleeping area with the kitchen and work station. Stay connected with ultra high-speed Wi-Fi, ideal for work, or sharing vacation photos. There are also two large, flat-screen TVs offering YouTube TV with Cinemax, STARZ, Showtime, Paramount+, and more than 300 cable channels. You can also view Netflix and Amazon with your account. However, if you want to see a movie on the big screen, the historic Byrd Theatre, Virginia's Grand Motion Picture Palace, built in 1928, is a 1-minute walk from your door. Sunrays filter through the floor-to-ceiling windows to reveal a white kitchen with sleek granite countertops and matching backsplash. We do offer Keurig coffee, but know that within a block are several shops offering coffee creations. Please check our guidebook for the list of coffee within a block. We encourage you to check out the two-story outdoor mural while enjoying our fire pit and comfortable outdoor seating. This quiet area, and the entire property, is enclosed by 8 ft wooden fencing with gorgeous architectural backlighting. Whether sipping morning coffee in the sunlight, luxuriating in the soft and sumptuous bed, or indulging in a calming shower, we endeavor to make every moment you spend within our carriage house an experience to be relished. We look forward to welcoming you to our home. Other things to note: The carriage house is a stand-alone building behind our home. À propos de l’hôte
Votre hôte
We are John and Lisa, originally from Atlanta, GA and Pittsburgh, PA, respectively. We have lived in Carytown about 10 years and love the location. It's just fun, and the people are nice. There are dogs everywhere. We enjoy hosting because it's exciting to have people come to Richmond and discover the lovely architecture and learn it's history. We particularly are interested in the Byrd Theatre, built in 1928, and located just out our back door. It houses one of twelve operating Wurlitzer's in the country. The building is spectacular and full of nuanced and beautiful things.
