Nice house, beautifully decorated and clean. Great location for boating. We brought our 24’ boat, total length is 27.5’ with windlass, anchor and motor up. The neighbor is so kind and didn’t mind that our boat was encroaching on his seawall.

Nice place but beware of owner attitude

This is a nice location for fishermen. Launching ramp is very close with bait and ice. The dock at the property is new and sturdy but be prepared to provide your own buffering for the pilings as they have none. It is a short distance to the outside from the dock to open water and from there to the back country or the reef for lots of fun fishing. The filet table is handy with running fresh water. The bait freezer is very convenient. The house is newly renovated, very nicely appointed, and very clean. The screen porch is large and a great place to have meals on cooler days. The master bedroom opens on to the porch for a nice cool breeze. The kitchen is all new. The landscaping is attractive. Unfortunately the dishwasher quit part way through our stay. We acknowledged that this was no fault of the owner but we assumed there would be some current compensation for the loss of use of this advertised feature. The owner did not voluntarily offer any. When approached on the issue he offered only a discount for a future stay. His reply to our request for a small pro-rata refund “I find it very unfortunate for you that such a minor inconvenience could cause such an unpleasant experience for you during your vacation. …we simply cannot provide any refund for such a minor issue.” Nice place, but owner’s attitude left bad taste.

We were happy that their stay was "better than expected" as stated, but did respond immediately to the report of the dishwasher breakdown, and ordered the part for repair. I don't know of any attitude conveyed, but did in fact express our being sorry for their inconvenience for those days, and offered a significant reduction for a future stay.

Scenic & Peaceful stay

We really enjoyed our1 month stay in Little Torch Key. The house is beautifully appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We biked and kayaked all over the lower keys and went into Key West a couple of times. A quick ride to all the action. Our adult children flew in to visit us for a week and they had a ball! Plenty of room to accommodate all and we so enjoyed our evenings on the screened in deck overlooking the canal and a nature preserve where the sun set every night. Richard The owner was so great in his communications. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back again

Loved it !

It was just as shown in the pictures on the website. Perfect location, plenty to do in the area, on the water....what more could you want??!! We drove up to Big Pine Key several times...to do grocery shopping (Winn Dixie will have everything you need, and then some!), also to see the adorable Key deer and to go to No Name Pub for good food (excellent pizza) and beer and wine....no liquor. We also went up to Marathon several times and showed our guests around. And, of course, went to Key West several times. No words necessary! We were in this lovely home for a month and had a wonderful time. Would definitely do a re-visit if we plan another trip to the Keys.

Great house on Little Torch Key

We stayed at this house for a month and it was wonderful. The house had everything that we wanted. The decor was beautiful . The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The back deck was screened in which was nice. The bottom area had another table and chairs. It was so nice to go into the hot tub. This place had everything that you could want for a great vacation.

Perfect

We have stayed many places in the Keys over the years. We bring our boat and love to dive and fish. This place is not only beautifully decorated inside, it also has great outdoor space and one of the nicest docks we have ever had. There is a huge splash pool/ hot tub that is well maintained. The fishing and lobstering spots are very close and awesome. The neighbors on both sides are very nice and helpful and the owner was very responsive to our texts for questions. Great restaurants nearby as well. We had an awesome time. March 2018

Paradise in the Keys!

We were thrilled with the condition, location and amenities this home offered. By far the best home we have rented in the keys. We were so comfortable. The ice machine is a huge time and money saver. The use of the bikes, kayaks and the downstairs storage was so perfect! Grocery store was so close, great restaurants nearby and Key West was 30 min away. We loved the dock, hot tub and the boating access is excellent. I hope to stay again in the near future. Richard was very professional and easy to work with. Thank you for a fabulous vacation.

Great House! Perfect Location!!!

This is the best house we have rented in the Lower Keys in terms of location & amenities in the 9 years we have made our annual trip down here! The house is located in a nice & quiet neighborhood on a flow through canal with super fast access to the Big Pine Key channel. The location is great with easy out to US1 & to shopping, gas station, etc - Winn Dixie, CVS, Reef Light Tackle etc. We really really enjoyed our stay here, & this will be our #1 choice next year! The house is clean & has all the great amenities. The beds are very comfortable, & the bedrooms are spacious. There are plenty of closet space & the bathrooms are clean. The living room has nice furniture & a large flat screen TV. The kitchen has a great layout, lots of counter space with everything we need to fix breakfast & cook our meals. The screened in porch is a great place to relax, & have drinks while watching sunset. We appreciate the dual stairs in front to the door, & in the back to screened in porch. The washer & dryer work well with all features. The backyard is well landscaped with paving stones, & have lots to offer - dual hammocks, relaxing chairs & table, plus hot tub. We rented a boat for the week & the boat was easily delivered to Dolphins Marina & driven to the canal behind the house & docked. The dock is brand new with solar powered lights, stretched the length of the property making it easy to dock. The fish cleaning table is great! We fished almost daily from our boat out at the reef or inside the reef or back country despite the wind, & caught lots of fish - yellow tail/mutton/mangrove/schoolmaster/lane snappers, black grouper, barracuda, bonita, shark, lady fish, blue runner plus others. There are lots of fish in the canal - mangrove snapper, barracuda, etc. The biggest plus is that the owners let renters of the property use their downstairs storage for fishing gears and freezer to storing bait. On top of that, there is an ice machine to save money and time for getting ice. In addition, we went to the Dry Tortugas National Park via seaplane from Key West which was an amazing experience. Bahia Honda State Park is only 20 min away. Our favorite restaurants are Square Grouper on Cudjoe Key & Mangrove Mama on Sugarloaf Key. We also enjoyed great fresh local catch fish sandwiches at Keys Cuisine on Big Pine Key. The owner, Richard, is fantastic! He provided great info & responded quickly to questions via email & text. And great customer service throughout!

The perfect place in paradise!

I've rented many different homes on various keys over the years, but this one is by far the best of all.....Outstanding!!!!!!! Not only is the house decor fabulous, but also well kept, great amenities, perfect location and best of all.......Richard. With professionalism, friendliness, and making sure my stay was the best, was impressed. I'm looking forward to vacationing in the Keys again, and by this review, you know where I'll be staying.

BEST VACATION EVER!

WOW! What an amazing week. This was a SURPRISE 30th Anniversary trip for my sister in law and her husband. First and foremost we would like to THANK Richard (homeowner) for his attention to detail and always making himself available to answer all of our questions prior to our arrival. THERE WERE A LOT! The communication was above and beyond any other home rental we have ever done. The description of the home was spot on. The house was clean and well appointed. We flew down, therefore we could not pack as much. We were pleasantly surprised that we did not want for anything. The screened porch was our favorite! We spent most mornings and evenings out there. The canal view was Awesome. The home rental came with Kayaks and Bikes. The Kayaks were our next favorite. We spent several hours paddling the canals and open waters around Little Torch Key. The kayaks afforded us an opportunity to explore the tranquility and beauty of the area. We took several bike rides around the neighborhood, so quiet and peaceful! The home also came with a Hot Tub and a Hammock. Unfortunately due to our busy schedule, we did not fully utilize them. If our stay would have been longer, we would have definitely taken advantage of them. Location of the home was convenient to Key West, snorkeling at Looe Key, and Bahia Honda State Park. Looe Key is a MUST! Best Snorkeling we have ever done. We would like to give a shout out to LOOE KEY REEF RESORT & DIVE CENTER. The crew and trip were AMAZING. They are located a short 5 minute drive from the home. Price for snorkeling tour includes all equipment needed. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this home.

AR Family of Five

We came for Christmas vacation for 11 days and had an absolutely, awesome, amazing time! The house pictures are good but do not compare to how nice the house is when you walk in. We loved the kayaks, bikes, hammocks, hot tub, grill, and the wonderful porches. It was a perfect neighborhood, so peaceful and quiet, great for walking, running, and biking. Meals on the porch were completely wonderful. The canals are perfect for quiet kayaking. The kitchen has everything you need to make wonderful meals. There are plenty of towels for all of your needs and nice laundry to keep everything clean! Our family does Crossfit and got up most mornings and took a quick drive to Key West to workout, it is a beautiful and easy drive with lots to see along the way. Many great places to eat along that route as well. The house is in a really great location, near the grocery store, restaurants, and other attractions, while not being in the thick of things. There are several really fantastic restaurants between the house and Key West that are super easy to get to right on 1. Bahia Honda State Park and Bridge and the Seven Mile Bridge are right down the road and are absolutely breathtaking at sunset!! If you enjoy walking or running I highly suggest this on Seven Mile bridge – we did it several times and just magnificent every time. The owners were awesome through every communication, it was a pleasure to deal with them! And they have a great book of information in the house for you to use for just about everything. We did so many wonderful things while in the Keys, as well as spending lots of family time at this house and had the best vacation ever! We look forward to coming back, hopefully really soon!

Just got back from a week long vacation at this home ... it was our second time vacationing at the home this year. Once again, it was a truly a great experience. Perfect House

We just returned from a week's vacation in this beautiful home. It was ideal; perfectly decorated and supplied with every comfort and amenity. We enjoyed kayaking through the water-ways, napping in the hammocks, evenings in the hot tub and breakfast on the screen porch! The location was also perfect - shopping and great restaurants nearby. Spent time with friends in Bahia Honda and visited Key West a few times! I would most certainly recommend this home and hope to return in the future.

So Relaxed!

This lovely home is a gem! We were able to settle in, relax and start playing right away because the homeowners created a place designed just for enjoyment. The amenities are outstanding: comfy beds, lush linens and a kitchen with everything plus some equipment for enjoying the water. The screened porch was our favorite spot for morning coffee. Watching the fish swim by in the canal and snorkeling & kayaking right out the front door were a treat. Our thoughtful hosts surprised us with a delightful bottle of champagne for our anniversary. Great house for a fun vacation!

We enjoyed our stay! We particularly appreciated the attention to details of the interior and furnishing of the dwelling. Clean, modernized, granite counters, wood floors and a lovely screened in second level deck. The first level was a large patio with pavers and a large gas grill. Kayaks, Bikes and a beautiful dock were some of the amenities enjoyed out of doors. The owners were attentive and called to check on things. We were able to get instructions to the operation of the gas grill first hand. We also left belongings behind and they were mailed to us.

Great Family Rental

My family rented the house in June and we couldn't have asked for more! The location is perfect! So easy to get to open water, Picnic Island, snorkeling, Key West and fishing. The house was very well equipped as well as comfortable and clean. My children enjoyed the kayaks and glass bottom boat. The amenities were great! When we left, I realized that I had left jewelry and called the owners who found it quickly and immediately mailed it to us. They were wonderful to work with!

Another Excellent Vacation!

I recently stayed with my family at this property. It was our second stay at this house and we hope to go back again next summer. The house is beautiful and located on a nice quiet street. By boat it is a very short ride to the channel and Picnic Island. The house is nicely equipped and beautifully furnished. We especially enjoyed having the use of the hot tub, bicycles, and kayaks. We like the proximity to good snorkeling and fishing spots. The kayaking around Little Torch Key is always interesting. This year we saw horseshoe crabs, sharks and turtles. My whole family agrees that this is a great place to vacation and we're looking forward to another trip there next year. Many thanks to the very nice, professional owners. They are great to work with.

Great Vacation House

Loved the house! This was our third rental home in Jolly Roger Estates and by far the nicest. Great location, super clean, tasteful décor, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, nice patio and grill, etc. The hot tub was nice and super clean. The location is perfect for renting a boat and docking it on the canal - a quick drive out to the open water. (Rent from Larry Carter - Action Boat Rentals (305) 872-9038. Good guy and fair prices.) Owners are very pleasant to work with and respond quickly to any inquiries. This will definitely be our "go to again" house for our visits to the Keys!

Perfect House - Perfect Location

The peace & quiet and comfort of this home in Little Torch Key surpassed our expectation. The house is very nice, SUPER CLEAN, comfortable and decorated just like a beach house should be. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the screened porch is great for morning coffee and cocktails in the evening. There were many amenities to enjoy that were included - bicycles, kayaks, hot tub, bbq, etc. Overall, we found the house to be in a perfect location. There are several excellent restaurants nearby that the food was de-lish! We like the fact that it was only twenty-five miles from Key West - easy to get there and yet just far enough away to come back to the home to relax. The house is also just a short drive from the beaches of Bahia Honda State Park; beautiful water, plenty of sand, good place to snorkel, food concessions and more. On our next trip to the Keys this home will definitely be our first choice. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and keep the home in great shape ~ can’t wait for our next visit !

Great home

This was our first time "snowbirding" in Florida. House was near perfect and great location to open water. Brought our wave runner and also enjoyed the supplied kayaks and bikes. Had great weather for 4 weeks, hot tub was too hot for us, but our visiting family enjoyed it. Owners wonderful to deal with, immediate response to any questions that arose.
