The apartment is on the ground floor of a building, on a side street, close to busy, fun streets with shops & restaurants. Check-in using a lockbox was easy. The unit was very clean. We were provided coffee, cream and sugar at check-in. Nice! The apartment consists of three large rooms. There is a living/kitchen combo area and then two bedrooms each with a full bath. It was easy for us to stay with our adult son and his girlfriend -- everyone had privacy. Each bedroom had a huge closet. It was easy to stay organized. The unit is in a safe-feeling neighborhood, just one block from the Lagoon where you can rent a kayak or paddleboard. There is a park there with a walking/jogging path goes all the way around the lagoon. If you turn right when you leave the house you will quickly reach a lively business area with shops and restaurants. If you want to go into old San Juan -- the Uber drivers respond promptly and your trip will cost less than 10. The apartment includes access to a large parking area behind a gate that opens by means of clicker they provide. Easy to use, secure parking for your rental car. The unit is solid, clean, and everything works. Kitchen supplies are bare bones, the small patio faces the street, there are no windows opening to gorgeous vistas. But if you want a safe, modern, comfortable base for exploring Old San Juan, the Yunque National Forest, and other sites -- it's a great choice!
