Great home close to the Falls.

We had a great but short stay in this comfortable home right outside the commercial area of Niagara Falls. Owner brought a hot, fresh breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!

Nice clean house in a safe, quiet neighborhood about a 20 minute walk from the Falls. Pre-check-in confusion was handled quickly by the host. Hot breakfast was a really nice touch. Kids loved the basement suite as well as the tire swing out front. Thanks so much!

Golf getaway.

We decided to golf the Niagara Falls area, for the first time. There are a good selection of courses there in all price and skill levels. This home accomodates up to 10 people and is well located minutes to Clifton Hill, where there are many restaurants and bars which suited us well for evening entertainment. There was a nice outdoor seating/bbq area. The delivered/included breakfasts were a big hit with us. John, the host was eager to help us have an enjoyable vacation. Would definitely go back.

Pros:Host: John was very responsive to ensure everything went smoothly with our stay. The breakfast that was provided every morning was convenient since we were always on the go during our time at Niagara. Whenever we had an issue, the cleaners came almost immediately to address it on our first day. Location: You also cannot beat the location near the Falls and the Rainbow Bridge in case you want to explore the U.S. side of the Falls as well. Cons:Smell: When my family and I arrived, we immediately took in a heavy, stale cigarette smoke smell. Having windows open and fans on did nothing. John was kind enough to have the cleaners drop off more air fresheners, but the smell stayed the entire stay. So if you are sensitive to smell, just be prepared.* Bathrooms: The bathroom in the basement has an electrical wiring issue. So the fan would turn on and the lights in the shower would go off. The light fixtures in the actual bathroom would work when they wanted to. The bathroom upstairs did not have working lightbulbs at all. They were requested so make sure to check these on Day 1. * Basement: If you have a large group and decide to utilize the beds in the basement, be mindful of the moisture buildup and ensure that you dump the dehumidifier frequently. We had to dump the water at least 4-5 times a day. It gets very damp in the basement so to avoid any potential mold issues, please keep this in mind as well. We were not aware of this beforehand.

Great Location!

John was a great host. He was there to greet us and show us around. He provided suggestions on what to do in town and how to make the most of our short time there. Breakfast being delivered was a really nice touch. The house is a work in progress and when totally completed, will be an amazing rental. It worked great for us utilizing the rooms upstairs only. Guys were there working on the fencing one day and I’m sure when they are all done the outside seating will really set this house apart from others nearby. The location is what really makes this the place to stay. Walking distance to the falls (with some hills).

Niagara Falls home

This is a beautiful older home in a quiet area. We were able to walk to the falls which took about 15 minutes, longer if you walked to the top of the falls. Worth the walk as parking by the falls is so expensive, but there is parking if you don't want to walk. Working with John was wonderful, we were able to check in early, he responded quickly to the one question I had during our stay and brought us breakfast and juice every morning. The breakfast was such a nice touch and great way to start the day. For us it worked out well that one bedroom was in the basement and the rest were upstairs as our teens were able to each have their own space. The bathroom upstairs is big and the shower pressure is great! The only reason I gave the property a 4 instead of 5 is because there is no bathroom on the main floor and the stairs in the house are steep. The stairs are normal for a house like this, however with having knee issues, the stairs started to get to me. Overall though we had a great stay and felt very comfortable in the home.

Very nice place. Owner is still completing outside landscaping and finishing the last parts of the basement. Stairs are steep going to the basement but the bedroom and bathroom down there are very nice, was a great place for quiet sleeping. Breakfast came every morning and it was so good to start the day like this. 15 minute walk gets you to the main areas in town and to stunning views of the falls.

Excellent location for visiting the falls. Within walking distance to many attractions and Clifton Hills. Neighborhood felt safe and appreciated off street parking.Breakfast was excellent! Beds comfortable.Other issues that should be addressed such as adding steps up and down the deck. Back door key should be provided for ease of loading /unloading car. House was basically clean with the exception of high touch surfaces (light switches, door knobs, refrigerator door). Some dining room chairs were broken. Ok value for the price considering location. Adult nephew appreciated his own space downstairs and was surprised to have a glow in the dark sink

Image de profil de l’hôte
I am former hotelier and have been involved in Niagara’s tourism and hospitality industry since I was ten years old. Having a history degree has led me to embrace Niagara’s colourful past and I can often be found conversing with guests on topics ranging from local geology to the wild wacky adventures of Niagara’s daredevils. I have traveled extensively in North America and Europe and can speak German, French, English, and Hungarian.

In between various stints in the local hospitality industry, I founded and still operate a software development firm which builds reservation and ticketing engines.

The other passion is the restoration of historical buildings.
I look forward to hosting you at one of our properties.
