It was a great location, easy to work with the owner, cabin was alot smaller than expected, especially the shower, but definitely would rent again, 2 min from waterfront, literally on lake in 2 min

If you need a small space to sleep while fishing or visiting family, or for other local activities this is a nice rustic cabin. Friendly host, who was quick to respond to questions. Perfect space for what I needed.

I reserved for a fishing tournament and needed a place to shower and sleep. Really cute and as described in photos and description. There is another cabin directly infront of this one and we had enough space for 3 trucks and boats. Evenings were nice in rocker on porch

During arrival the rental was not cleaned from the previous renter. Soap in the bottom of the tub, dirty Lanan and towels in the corner. There was no bed, just a sofa that converted to a sofa bed. It is not a very desirable facility.

Fishing trip

House was clean and so adorable. Was perfect for my husband and myself. Had all the amenities needed. Close to store and town. And of course the lake for our fishing adventures. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others.

My experience started off fine… communication, directions, etc. Make sure to read the cabin description. It’s comfortable. The hide a bed will block the entryway to the shower room. The cabin/unit is small… like, a hunters cabin small. Shower is VERY unique to say the least. AC is a Mini split unit… it did not work well or even at all to be 100% transparent. It needs a good maintenance. WiFi is ran on a booster from a private home nearby. I tried contacting the host last night because we did not finish our stay. I haven’t heard back from them. Which is fine, I expected that. But, I payed over 300 for the weekend to get away and was left highly disappointed. I packed up and left the night before checkout. It was miserably hot and wifi decided it didn’t want to work that night. I left everything the way it was, and cleaned behind myself before early departure. I tried to be optimistic. But, not hearing back from the host that night really sealed the deal. I will be seeking reimbursement. Very unprofessional behavior on the hosts part. Good luck to future cabin renters.

I was just utilizing the cabin for sleep because of a road trip to nashville, cabin is clean has everything you need, couldn’t get the TV to work but no biggie. clean, decor is nice. I didn’t pull out the couch bed because I didn’t want to break anything so I just slept on the couch itself. now be aware that there is a 1500 deposit charge and it takes like 2 weeks to get that back. other than that no complains, there’s lakes around the area for fishing, I ate at a restaurant 10-15 minute drive “Gear Jammers” fabulous food and great hospitality. and about 30-40min from Cathedral State Park. oh try getting there before it gets dark because it’ll be hard to see the sign “sweet reels” and I came from the road where the sign wasn’t facing me and it was pitch black out so I missed it and had to double back

No bedroom. Cabin not level. Shower too small. No place to set anything. Showe held water. Shower curtain covered hot and cold knobs. Bathroom door had gaps on both sides, not private. Stove piping loose (fire hazard). Steep driveway

Correct. It’s a rule that the wood stove cannot be used. Insurance will not cover the structure so it is not connected because you cant rely on people reading directions, which is made obvious by this comment. The bathroom door is a sliding barn door. Not sure if Kevin has seen many sliding doors, but there is always a gap due to the rail. And yes the driveway is steep and paved. Description clearly states this. If you need a flat spot this would not be the correct option. I wish Karen the best of luck in their future travels!

The perfect spot to stay for our fishing trip! Was very clean! The parking was pretty tight for two boats (our neighbors renting the other cabin had a boat as well). Enjoyed our annual fishing trip to Lake Guntersville and will be looking to stay here again next year.
