Rosie's Ranch Retreat - Farm Stay

Rest and relax with Rosie (mini horse) and her mini friends (including two highland cows, 4 llamas, pigs, goats and more!) in our cozy guest home on our 20-acre horse ranch. WIFI, 2 smart TV's, washer/dryer, king size bed, twin size bed and XL bean bag that folds out into a king size floor bed are all provided. Enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge, stove, oven and microwave. Use the gas grill on the covered front porch that looks out onto Rosie's pasture. Bring your fishing poles for a chance to catch some fish in the pond.

What a beautiful stay! The cabin was perfect. And the sweetest greetings when you walk out the front door. Animals galore! It couldn’t have been a more amazing stay! Jen was such an awesome host.

This was a fantastic honeymoon spot. The home was pleasant and isolated, the animals were an absolute joy, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. There were even more animals than advertised, and we had 0 issues. We will be back!

Lovely place to stay. Quiet and private. The animals were a bonus. The host leaves treats to give them which they love. Jill the donkey was my favorite since I love donkeys. Jennifer was a great host and introduced me to all the animals.

Great Experience

Russ and Jen are the perfect Hosts! We had our granddaughter with us, and they were so kind and allowed her to help with the feeding of the animals and taught her all about them! Jen was even nice enough to saddle up a horse and lead her around the property! If we ever have a need, we will definitely stay there again!

We had an exceptional stay at this VRBO rental. The house was impeccably clean, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. All the amenities provided were perfect, meeting our every need during our stay.One of the highlights was the fabulous host, Jen & Russ, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their personal interaction with us and sharing their love of animals truly enhanced our experience. The standout feature, especially for our grandsons, was the opportunity to interact with animals on the property and fishing on the pond. This unique touch added an extra layer of joy and excitement to our vacation.Overall, we highly recommend this property for its cleanliness, amenities, excellent host, and the unforgettable experience it offers, particularly for families with children who love animals.

Girl Trip

Needed a fun place to stay for a Canton Trade Days shopping event. Being country girls @ heart, my sister, niece & I loved our visit here. The property is beautiful. The animals were adorable & friendly. Our hosts were available to educate us on caring & handling their animals. We will not hesitate to use this VRBO again for next year's girl trip!

Girls weekend

Excellent getaway location, close enough to all the immenities but far enough away to enjoy the country. Many items were supplied by host, we were happily surprised to have popcorn available for movie night while we watched it rain. I would highly recommend this cozy retreat.

Sanctuary

Loved the cabin, great for a girls weekend. Had everything we needed.But most of all, we LOVED all the animals and your work with them. Such a wonderful place for them to end up after hearing their stories. In just our short stay, we saw their personalities. Thanks so much for the bonus Friday night! We plan to return next year, hoping there is a Yeti/Pancake offspring. LOL

Rosie's Awesome Relaxing Animal Rescue Resort

Very clean and nice place. Jen obviously loves animals! Wish we had more time to visit with her family of pets, I admire how she gives all her animals a chance to be loved and it obviously shows when you are there, each one has there own story. Who's heart wouldn't be touched by their stories, mine was.Easy to find country setting with a view of the pond comfortable bed its just a nice place to go and relax we will definitlybe back!

Spiritual Retreat

We ladies absolutely loved and adored everything about this place. It was easy to find. Check in process was a breeze! The owners were very friendly and allowed us to help feed the animals and love in them. We loved the fact that so many of the animals were rescues. The location was very peaceful and quiet. People might think that because it’s by the animal enclosures, that it might smell
. Well it didn’t!! The owners kept everything VERY clean. I recommend this place for anybody wanting to just get away and relax. It’s definitely for a smaller group. We had 3 people and it was perfect.

Wonderful Location. Great Hosts. One of kind and a great find

East Texas is a great place for a weekend getaway or vacation. Make it even more special by staying at Rosie's Relaxing Ranch Retreat! From the moment we drove up you have friendly animals greeting you – right off the front porch. It’s also such a cute, comfortable cabin to stay at – its was perfect! Love having morning coffee on the front porch and having all of the animals nearby. Jenn & Russ are such Great Host – we also learned a lot. On top of that – it is perfectly located in middle of everything we wanted to see in east in East Texas. Caldwell Zoo (24 Min), Canton trade days (21 min), Texas Rose Horse Park – (19 min) *be sure and look at the calendar for the events. It is free and open to the public, Green Goat Winery (4min), Tyler Rose Garden (21 miles) , Historical Aviation museum (14min).And great dining options: Farmhouse Restaurant (9 miles), the Forge (9 miles), Boathouse in Athens (32 minutes) and every direction from Rosie’s Ranch is such a beautiful country drive.This is a top Bucket list location – you won’t want to leave.

Wonderful Ranch Cottage Retreat

We stayed during Spring Break and visited the Tyler Zoo, the artist shops in Edom, and several thrift & antique stores. Rosie's Retreat is in easy driving range of several little towns. We loved being greeted by Rosie & her friends each time we arrived at the cottage. Comfortable beds, nice walking shower, a full size kitchen, and plenty of space in the living area to relax. I enjoyed my morning tea on the patio with my crochet and Jill the Donkey and the kitties to chat with. The goats are always up to something and fun to watch. You can see the pasture with the bigger horses from the cottage. My daughter is special needs and Jen was fantastic with her while letting her help with feeding time. All of the animals have a rescue story and are living their best years being cared for by Jen & Russ. They provide treats you can give Rosie and her friends, and a little brush set. Brushing the minis is so relaxing. We would definitely stay again.

We had an awesome time at Rosie's Ranch with our family! They take such good care of the animals and it is fantastic for families with kids to meet all the animals and get to know them when they feed or pet all the animals in the petting shelter. Such a lovely couple and farm style cabin with everything we needed. Also lived the farm fresh eggs! Will definitely book again!
