The place was dirty, owners WALKED into the condo while I was showering. Car got towed despite the fact that I was legally parked and had the permit displayed. Property manager asked me to Venmo her directly for pet deposit instead of using the app. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a rental property.

This place was amazing. The view of the beach from the balcony, the proximity to lots of good food and the Carolina boardwalk. Host was very responsive. Definitely would recommend.

We really enjoyed staying at The Painted Turtle. Very clean, and loved the decor. The beach was awesome, loved watching the sunrise. We hope to visit again! Thank you

Misleading Comfort Standarfs

We arrived an hour before booking and tried to reach out to see if we could check in early but there was no response. Later we sent a text regarding the thermostat which did not go below a 73. There is no technical reason that a functioning HVAC unit cannot go below that temperature unless the system is poorly maintained or underpowered. Until we read the Manuel inside, we did not know it was preferred to leave it at 73. The temperature inside the condo was uncomfortable for sleeping. We were told the first night we could leave and get a refund - after we had driven four hours and it was late in the evening. Also, we had reached out through the app to ask if there was an elevator. No response. Only after we lugged our belongings four flights of stairs did we stumble upon the fact that the condo had an elevator. The lack of responsiveness and adequate comfort will be the reason we will not book again. I would not recommend this for others unless changes are made.
This was dirty; otherwise the condo was clean. There is no dishwasher.

Relaxing get-a-way at Painted Turtle

The Painted Turtle balcony provided the perfect spot to watch the sunrise over the ocean and catch morning sunshine. Located on the boardwalk, great restaurants and nightly entertainment were just steps away.

Wonderful view!

Needed some vacation time and this checked all my boxes! Great location easily could have spent the whole trip at the property lots of great places to eat and drink. Was great to share this trip with our dogs who had a blast in the sand, not so much for the surf, LOL! Will look forward to booking again soon,
