Lovely home and even lovelier hostess. Great location and house was more well-stocked than any I've stayed in thus far. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Host was easy to communicate with. The residence had all the features we needed. Short walk to the beach. Rental fees much lower than beach front properties. Beds were comfortable. Very welcoming host.

We felt the property had a warm, rustic cozy feel. The upstairs which included kitchen, living and dining room as well as a pingpong table and balcony were all you needed to be comfortable and enjoy the openness and sunlight.

We enjoyed the excellent accommodations at this beach home! The kitchen has everything you need to cook if desired, mattresses are very comfortable, and it’s a cozy and relaxing place within walking distance to the beach. Home owner is kind, quick to respond and goes the extra mile to make her home ready for her guests! Definitely recommend staying here!

Great location and perfect for families. Hot tub was perfect on rainy days and house is well stocked for beach days. Only downside was wi-fi was really struggling and was often hung up when streaming. Otherwise, it was a perfect week with excellent hosts! We’ll be back :)

This is our second year staying at The Whale’s Tale and we had another great experience. The house is lovely and very conveniently located. We enjoyed spending time together as a family in the upstairs area and the hot tub was wonderful. Hope to be able to come back again soon!

House was very clean. There were so many essentials provided. The host is so kind. She offered suggestions and emailed during stay to make sure everything was going g well. She supplied so much for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc). We have vacationed in Corolla for many years. This has been my favorite house.

Barbara is a very gracious host - the house and hot tub and bicycles were all ready and waiting for our arrival! There are ample dishes, pots and pans, and starter sets of paper products for guest use. It’s a quick walk to the beach and Corolla shops are an easy reach. This is our 2nd stay for new years, and we hope to make it a tradition!!

Comfortable relaxing beach house

Our family had a wonderful week visiting Corolla and staying at this beach house. Many amenities here helped to make our vacation relaxing and space to enjoy being together. Host is the best and goes out of her way to make sure everything is as expected. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay!

This property was extremely clean when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. Loved the different decks and hot tub. We will definitely return to this house!

Great location and amenities!

We had an incredible time at Whale’s Tail! The house is in a perfect location to access a quieter area of the beach. We loved being able to run, walk, bike and explore some really special places in Corolla! The house is FULLY stocked with everything you need including 4 bikes! We also enjoyed our week long ping pong tournament. Barbara made sure that our stay was perfect!
