What a wonderful stay our family party of six had at the Fraleyâs home on the Kenai River. The home has a spacious, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, a spacious family room, and large deck, with several areas to sit and enjoy the river view. We enjoyed the propane heater on the deck and the large, gas grill. The house is well-situated in a quiet neighborhood in Soldotna with easy access to stores and highways.
Our fishermen enjoyed fishing for salmon for the first time. They are skilled fishermen in the Midwest, but fishing for salmon was a challenge, if you follow the fishing regulations on limits and snagging fish. The dock area by the Kenai River is as described, including excellent railings up the steps from the river, but be aware that there are sixty, steep steps from the dock to the house. The kitchen and two main bedrooms and family room are all on one level which was very convenient for us. However, the main level is only accessible via the deck or through the downstairs level. This was difficult for one of our older family members.
Kevin communicated so well with us. He called us before our stay to make sure we understood how to get there and answered any questions we had about the home. Since we were arriving late into the evening, he even made sure that outside lights were left on, so we could locate the house easily. We appreciated the helpful hints and expectations he left in a binder at the house. No wonder the house is in such excellent shape. We appreciate the care that the Fraleys take to maintain such a gem on the Kenai!
