Great place

Beautiful place with wonderful views of the sunrise. We were lucky enough to be there while the leaves were changing colors also. Host is easy to deal with and very nice.

Great location and amenities!

My family visited this location and had a great time in the backyard and family rooms. We were in close proximity to farmstands, restaurants and walking trails. The host was kind and directed us local attractions. We enjoyed being on the lake and the backyard firepit was a favorite for us.

This place was extremely Dirty!. Bugs everywhere- no window covering in some of the bedrooms upstairs even the bathroom. I requested a cleaning upon check in and they sent 1 lady who stayed 35 minutes- a real joke! No air conditioning upstairs. Just a rundown place. Everything was gross. DO NOT STAY THERE!!

The view of the lake is beautiful, but everything else was awful. The host was confrontational at check in alongside her huge dog and demanded cash for the extra night so vrbo didn't take some of the fee. The home was not professionally cleaned and smelled terribly of dogs. Personal effects were left strewn throughout the home, including passports and drivers licenses. Full trash bag left on the patio and additional evidence that the owner had tried to clean up quickly before we arrived. The patio has stairs that are dangerous and not built to code, and one of the patio windows was broken. We were told to lie to her neighbors and say we were cousins if they asked because they were ***####'s. We had to launder the sheets because they all smelled like dog so badly. The owner also came back to the house in the middle of our stay to pick something up from the house. Over all horrible experience.

This *could* be a very nice property, with better maintenance and cleaning. Biggest drawbacks include poor-to-no AC on the second floor (so bedrooms were uncomfortably hot) and an overall dinginess. (They need to find a better cleaning service.) No window treatments on a number of east-facing bedroom windows means the sun comes blazing in very early. (We ended up buying some cheap curtains at Meijer and hanging them with Command hooks.) We never could get the main-floor TV to play the listed channels - and we're pretty tech-savvy. Communication was problematic; we reached out to the hosts about a week before we arrived but didn't hear anything for several days, and then the lock box code they gave us was wrong. (They resolved it quickly, but it was a little aggravating after driving for several hours.) The property looks great online, but in its current state it is very overpriced compared with comparable units close by.

VERY DIRTY

We spent a lot of money on this rental. We arrived and the house was crazy dirty. Crumbs and bugs all over the floor. An inch of dust on all of the ceiling fans. Stuff in the fridge inside. Spoiled milk and other rotten items in the fridge outside. Dog poop all over the back yard. It looked like the place hasn’t been cleaned in months. We booked 4 nights and ended up leaving after night two because I woke up with bites all over my body. When we told the host, she said that we are making all of this up to get a free stay and pretty much called me a liar. She is very rude and did not give us any of our money back. I would highly recommend not staying at this property. Oh ya, and the host stays on the property in an apartment above the garage which was also not disclosed on the listing.

Very nice lake house.

The house is impressive with a large great room, nice kitchen / dining area and a very nice deck equipped with an outside bar (no water), table, chairs, and a functional grill. The backyard lawn is nice and the view is wonderful. The bedrooms upstairs are also quite nice and the master bathroom is amazing with all tile or stone work and a delux two-person jet tub. Morning sunrise was beautiful which you can't miss since there are no window dressings in the master. For our stay, the dock was not in (which we knew). The beach has some rocks near shore but after that it is great for wading around in the relatively shallow water. I had hoped to moor my large pontoon boat at the property, but I didn't feel comfortable with this because of the occasional large rocks, shallow water and occasional rough water that can happen, so we put the boat in and out at the park just south of the house (3.1 mile drive) which worked out fine. (We did moor a jet ski there with no problems.)
