Comfy and Clean

The property was extremely clean with all of the essentials provided for our 5 day stay. There was more than enough room for our group of 18 adults thanks to the space in the main house and 3 cottages. Everyone had their own private spaces but also could hang around the pool or dining room together. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating. We hope to come back some day.

We truly appreciated having the space to celebrate my father’s birthday. The property has a beautiful, preserved charm, and the layout gave everyone privacy while still feeling together.I’m sharing a few notes to help improve future guest experiences:Cleanliness & Maintenance• Noticeable odor in parts of the home and cottages.• Dirty dining chairs, loveseat, and couch.• Roaches in Cottage 3 and roach pellets near the kitchen, which made food prep concerning.• Sewage backed up through the showers when toilets were flushed, creating a strong smell and an unpleasant experience for guests.• Dim kitchen lighting due to a blown bulb.• Left side of the toaster not working.• Drawer with large plastic utensils off track.• Several visibly broken doors and unstable closets.• Very low water pressure in the kitchen and bathrooms.Outdoor & Entertainment• Indoor dining ware was plentiful, which helped.• Limited outdoor lighting and no working TV outside reduced our ability to enjoy the exterior spaces.General Notes• We understand the home is older and delicate, but a few repairs would greatly improve comfort and safety.• The abundance of fans was appreciated.Thank you for your punctual communication and support throughout the stay. I hope this feedback helps enhance the experience for future guests.

We're glad the home's unique charm, spacious layout, and separate cottages provided a wonderful setting for your family to gather while still enjoying privacy. We also appreciate your kind words about our team's communication and responsiveness throughout your stay. That said, we're genuinely sorry that several aspects of the home fell short of expectations. While this historic residence has its original character, cleanliness, plumbing functionality, and guest comfort should never be compromised. We took your concerns regarding the furnishings, pest activity, plumbing, lighting, and maintenance very seriously and have since thoroughly reviewed each of the items mentioned with our housekeeping and maintenance teams. We're pleased to confirm that, as of October 2026, none of the reported concerns were found to be present during our follow up inspections. We remain committed to maintaining the home's historic charm while ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and functionality our guests deserve. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and the opportunity to have hosted your family's special celebration, and we hope the memories made together were enjoyable despite these inconveniences.

Everyone enjoyed the pool & the pooltable the house was comfortable enough to accommodate everybody. The only thing I didn't like is that we couldn't find a broom to sweep the floors and the floors were very dirty

Great Photos & Magical Camera and photography

3 adults and their is NO DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM. The entire house is old and dirty and just a mess !! Photos were magnificent and online the property shows well. EVERYTHING is old and not in working order. From the upstairs bathtub to the downstairs pool table and dart board NOTHING IS IN WORKING ORDER. The kitchen is very dirty and has a major fruit fly problem and even ants were found by the trash can in the kitchen. It was my worst travel experience in the last 35 years. I have to be as honest and truthful As I can for future potential guests…….their is nothing to be desired about this property. We had a food and beverage delivery from Walmart and the area is so bad. The items were stolen within 25 minutes of delivery. There’s literally homeless people one block away, sleeping on the sidewalks and on the side of building buildings. This experience regarding this property on a 1-10 is definitely an accurate 1.
