"Sun Spot" est une belle maison de 4 chambres située dans le golfe, dans le West End de Dauphin Island. Elle est presque identique à sa populaire "maison soeur", Beach Break. C'est une maison de plage face au golfe, avec une vue imprenable sur le golfe.
"Sun Spot" présente un superbe agencement de maison de plage, très ouvert, aéré et beaucoup d���espace pour que votre famille puisse profiter de leurs vacances à Dauphin Island. Il est situé sur la plage de l'extrémité ouest de l'île Dauphin, dans une zone tranquille de maisons unifamiliales au bord du golfe.

The perfect beach home!

This home is beautiful and has all the comforts of home!! Dolphins and seagulls are in abundance from your back porch right on the water! Fishing was a blast, there was no shortage of seashells and plenty of spots by the house to set up your favorite beach bum oasis. Just a short walk to the public beach and a quick drive to restaurants, shops and the aquarium!

Smooth sailing.

The house was perfect for our family. The house rocks you to sleep and we could fish right off the deck! There was a plumbing problem while we were there and the company handled it very well and set us up with a new place to stay. We will be back!

Perfect in every way...

The location near the West End Beach was private, with beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset. The house is welcoming, open, and nicely decorated. It has a well-appointed kitchen, and 3 of the 4 bedrooms have their own bathrooms. It's possible to back up to the entrance steps with a 4wd vehicle, so the parking was fine for us. Enjoy the sound of the waves, while watching dolphins and pelicans as you sit on the rear deck. We'll be back!

Favorite beach

Overall we had a great time. A lot of storms this week so not crazy about that the water was not the best. The location was very good close to water could set up under the house and enjoy. The house was in decent shape needs several things worked on. Let owner know some of the issues. Not the house owner fault on the weather for this week. So definitely was a great vacation.

Wonderful House in the Surf

Loved this house. It is larger than it looks inside. Plenty of space, great kitchen. At night the surf literally comes under the house. You go to sleep to the sounds of waves breaking on the sand. Near the end of the island. You can sit under house, in the sand during heat of the day, and still put your toes in the water. deck is huge and spacious, and affords great views of beach and gulf. The only thing we didn't like was the driveway, which we shared with two other houses, and which was covered in sand, and which ended 50 feet from the steps to the house. So unloading when you arrive and packing up when you go are a bit of a challenge as you haul things through deep sand. And if you get off of the driveway, you are stuck, so stay on the driveway. Luckily the other houses' guests parked on the right side and we parked on the left. When we arrived another house had parked on the left, but they had four-wheel-drive and offered to move over so we could be on the driveway. SO plan accordingly for this caveat - but definitely rent this house - the house more than makes up for any inconvenience with the driveway.

The spot was gorgeous!

Beautiful spot, right on the water we had a full view of sunrise and sunset. Overall the house was clean. However sitting on either loveseat in the living area or on the deck furniture left us covered in dog (LOTS OF DOG) and some people hair. We didn’t bring nor do we own a dog. I really do think it’s great that animals are welcome, but we found wearing the fur from an animal we don’t know a little gross. Covered the furniture with sheets, easy fix. But don’t feel like we should’ve had to do that for the money spent. Aside from that the place was great!

Relaxing!!!

The trip was fantastic! We had 2 days of calm water and we were able to watch tons of sting rays swim past the back porch area. That was so cool!!! How many people can say that they fished from the balcony? The house had a great open floor plan with a huge kitchen. We found everything we needed. Bring your own spices. There was a planned power outage for the entire island which was a bit of an inconvenience. However; the management office was very accommodating and gave us a discount for the day. If you are comfortable having the ocean waves come underneath the house, this will be a unique and memorable experience. Say yes and book this beach house!

The house is located in a great spot! We enjoyed fishing off the deck and the shade under the house is awesome while on the beach... We loved our stay!!! If your looking for a super nice, newly renovated place this is not it....

Fabulous Location

5 stars for location...You couldn't ask for a better location...beach, ocean and quiet! You are in the sand and over the ocean. No shoes required. Open the doors off great room for ocean noise and beautiful breezes. Fishing was fantastic off the deck at night. Caught plenty of fish using shrimp. 3 baby shark, sheepshead, catfish, blue crab even, and a few we didn't recognize. Caught many stingrays on the bay side of the island, although we were trying to avoid them. Beautiful long walk on the undeveloped west end of island. Never busy. Made most meals at home. Great Mexican place Miguels! (Take out)The property manager is great and checked up with us while we were there to be sure we had everything we needed. Our rental experience was smooth and easy with no hiccups. The house was ready and cleaned upon our arrival. 3 stars .....The house itself is OK. Its spacious and with the 3 private bathrooms it could accommodate more than one family. The kitchen items are sub-par. Bring a few of your own items.(dishes were great, most everything else looks very old and yard sale like) Kitchen table 5 star! Big and solid.The windows and blinds don't work. The drapes are old and dirty. Covers on old, old couches didn't stay on well...we utilized sheets to cover them. Carpet stained and dirty in bedrooms. Tile in the rest of the house, much needed with all the sand you track in. Sheets ok, comforters need to be replaced. Cloth headboard in one room, yuck. stripped beds of sheets when we left and the mattress pads are stained...ewwwww. Outdoor furniture was just OK, some OK and some yucky.. The house needs some overall TLC!!!!!
