A hidden gem tucked away in the outskirts of Ohioâs first capitol, Chillicothe.
This modern farm cabin is the perfect getaway from all the hustle and bustle of life!
We are also conveniently located just three minutes from the cityâs center. Here you can enjoy an abundance of local eateries, breweries and shopping.
This is a cabin getaway with a genuine farm vibe. Here you will often spot our cows and horses grazing peacefully in their pastures and you will be warmly welcomed into our original Hirsch Farm Market store, where you can browse and purchase fresh in season fruits and vegetables. We also boast a fully operational cider house where we create our own fresh cider!
This cabin is 1/2 of a spacious duplex that sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen bed and full bath on the first level and 2 twin beds with a 1/2 bath upstairs. There is plenty of room to add an air mattress if needed.
The functional kitchen includes cookware and serving dishes and opens up to the dining/living room space.
Enjoy the outdoors on the deck or around the fire pit.
Guests can enjoy over 450 acres of our fourth generation farm. Here you can go fishing in our ponds, hiking through our wooded hills, or just go strolling through our beautiful apple orchard.
Nearby you can visit some of Chillicothe's wonderful attractions. Our town is proud to be home of the popular outdoor drama Tecumseh along with the Hopewell Culture National Historic Parks. There are also local canoe/ kayak liveries where you can spend the day floating and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Paint Creek.
We had a very pleasant stay. Chip was very responsive. The cabin was perfect, comfortable, and clean. The setting was peaceful & convenient to town. Thanks again!
Booking, check-in, and communication with owner were all well over 5 star! As well as the accommodations. Very clean and had everything needed and then some! I would highly recommended!
It felt like a brand new cabin, very clean, had everything we needed. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying in the Chillicothe- hocking hills area.
First off, very clean and well decorated. Our trip was an in at 6pm and out at 630am next day. During a very cold weekend in January. When we arrived heaters were set low and place was freezing. Turned up to 68 (on setting anyway) and went to town for dinner. Came back and felt just as cold really. The remaining evening was spent hoping it warmed more. In fairness it was too late for us to want to bother owners. Went to bed knowing we were headed out in morning. Woke up middle of the night to upstairs roasting so we went to downstairs bed but sheets were stained. (Downstairs still freezing). Maybe laundered, since the place was clean, but stained sheets sent us back upstairs. Got up and out early for trip. Fairly disappointing winter stay. Encourage hosts to warm up cabin ahead of guests. Kitchen lighting was too dark to prepare food. Need an over counter light in there. Host was responsive ahead of trip, lane plowed, and cabin was clean. Just need to close the loop on a few things.
The cabin was exactly as advertised. Absolutely quiet, in a beautiful setting.
The owners are not kidding, however, in that you WILL need AWD/4WD to get up the driveway to the cabin. There is a small truck available to help ferry things up the hill, but youâd then need to walk up and down.
