Les clients apprĂ©cieront la riche histoire de la chasse Ă  la baleine, des exploitations laitiĂšres, de la pĂȘche aux ormeaux et de la mise en conserve, qui faisaient partie des nombreuses entreprises florissantes qu'A. M. Allan a opĂ©rĂ© sur cette propriĂ©tĂ© historique datant de 1898. Cette maison Ă  deux niveaux est parfaitement situĂ©e pour maximiser la vue sur Point Lobos et se trouve Ă  quelques pas de la plage du monastĂšre - cĂ©lĂšbre pour la plongĂ©e et les vagues de l'ocĂ©an. Profitez de la vue panoramique panoramique sur l'ocĂ©an de Point Lobos et d'une plage de sable blanc comme arriĂšre-cour. Les plongeurs viennent de loin pour profiter des forĂȘts de varech, des loutres, des phoques, des baleines et d'autres animaux sauvages trouvĂ©s dans les eaux au large de la plage du monastĂšre. Les planchers de bois franc, le foyer et les grands panneaux de verre brouillent les frontiĂšres entre la vie intĂ©rieure et extĂ©rieure. 3 gĂźtes sur la propriĂ©tĂ©. Deux 2 chambres et 3 chambres.

Amazing location!! There is a trail steps away from the home and the beach is your backyard. Our dog enjoyed hanging out in the enclosed yard we had. Sea Otter Cottage is very cute and cozy.Communication with the host was great.We enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Hidden Gem of Carmel

Perfect location for us. I love dining and shopping in the downtown, but not staying in the downtown. Very private, very quiet, very peaceful, and close to everything worth being close to. The only downside is the beach, which absolutely destroyed my feet, but a breathtaking view no doubt. I wish I could've stayed for a month!

A beautiful place in the world!

The Sea Otter cottage offers a peaceful, secluded spot where you are surrounded by nature. Beautiful sunsets are breathtaking and observed from the cottage, the patio or the beach. Steps away is access to costal trails yet it is conveniently located to attractions, dining and shopping. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.A wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee. Thank you for sharing this special historic place!

Amazing place

The ocean, shoreline and cottage were wonderful. We sat outside and talked for hours and listened to the ocean. We had everything we needed in the cottage and then some. Would willingly return again.

Cozy cottage

Fabulous location! The cottage was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Lots of nearby trails to hike, and a lovely patio to enjoy the sunset over Point Lobos. Despite being right on the beach, it still felt secluded and peaceful. We hope to come back again soon!

Anniversary trip

The view alone is worth staying here. We had both back doors open any time we were there. The layout is perfect for enjoying the sound of the waves and the view of the sunset. The house is also perfectly located for being able to do day trips to San Francisco or Big Sur. If you are looking for a place to stay that is cozy and has amazing views you found it.

A Cottage Oasis!

My experience at the Sea Otter Cottage was pure bliss. We immediately felt comfortable- The cottage was clean and cozy. I'm an over packer who brings items "just in case", and they had everything you could need. The kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were really comfortable. Now to the outside.... WOW! The Sea Otter Cottage has a fenced in patio which was awesome to have with 2 dogs. The shared yard space was out of this world with multiple benches and seating areas to take in the breathtaking view. I've never felt more relaxed then sitting outside with a glass of wine taking it all in. The morning walks on the beach with the pups were priceless. There is no other rental property out there like the Cottages at Monastery Beach- You can't go wrong with staying at any one of the cottages on this beautiful property. I can't recommend enough, and I hope to be back again in the future!

Hard to beat

There are very few beach side properties to rent in the area. We scouted this place out the previous year and booked it straight away. Great location and pretty easy access to anywhere on the peninsula. Great views of Point Lobos etc. and loved the history associated directly to the founder.

Perfect getaway!

The location can’t be beat. All essentials provided, beds were comfortable , good amenities with plenty of extra towels, blankets, etc. Second bathroom by entry is small and shower had low water pressure but was not really an issue for us. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect vacation

The Sea Otter cottage surpassed our expectations. The cottage is beautiful, cozy, and has all the comforts of home. We enjoyed cooking every meal because the quality of every kitchen item from pots and pans to knives were top notch and in new condition. We loved the private patio with our own path down to the beach. The views are breathtaking! It was the perfect vacation for us. Definitely will book again.

Perfect beachside getaway

Everything we might need was available in Sea Otter Cottage, including beach and trail walks right out the gate! We ate out, we stayed in, we walked, we went to Point Lobos for longer hiking. It didn't even matter that the cool California coastal fog was a frequent companion - it is summer after all! Thank you for sharing your perfect beachside getaway with your guests.

Convenient location

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was convenient to places we visited and the views were beautiful. The kitchen is well equipped and nicely laid out. The couch is very comfortable. I gave it four stars because the smaller bathroom is so tiny that it is hard to use the toilet and its door does not lock or even latch. Also, the hall rugs are loose and I tripped a few times on them.
