Les clients apprécieront la riche histoire de la chasse à la baleine, des activités laitières, de la pêche à l'ormeau et de la mise en conserve, qui figuraient parmi les nombreuses activités florissantes d'A. M. Allan a exploité cette propriété historique datant de 1898. Cette maison de plain-pied de 2 chambres à coucher est parfaitement située pour maximiser la vue sur Point Lobos et se trouve à quelques pas de Monastery Beach, célèbre pour ses plongées et ses vagues déchaînées. Profitez de la vue panoramique imprenable sur l'océan de Point Lobos et d'une plage de sable blanc comme votre arrière-cour. Les plongeurs viennent de loin pour profiter des forêts de laminaires, des loutres, des phoques, des baleines et d'autres animaux sauvages trouvés dans les eaux au large de Monastery Beach. Les planchers de bois franc, la cheminée et les grands panneaux de verre brouillent les frontières entre vie intérieure et extérieure. 3 chalets sur la propriété. Deux 2 chambres une 3 chambres.

Thanks for the detailed directions! I am so glad we arrived during daylight hours otherwise it would be easy to miss.Location? AWESOME. Cottage? Dated, but worth every penny. Stunning views and easy walk to the nearby walking paths and a quick drive to Carmel or Point Lobos.Or bring a bike and it’s an easy bike ride to Carmel or Point Lobos.

Stunning location & property!!

We enjoyed the property during our week's stay - the views are incredible!! Enjoyed the adjacent trail along the shoreline. We like to make our own meals, so just wish the kitchen's range was more user-friendly.

Breathtaking Views!

Our family had such a wonderful time staying at the Abalone Cottage! The hosts were very communicative and the house was spotless upon arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking trail nearby. Highly suggest this lovely home to anyone who wants a quiet place to stay right on the ocean. We can’t wait to stay again!

A Perfect Stay in California

This was the perfect get away from a Mn arctic blast in January. Sarah was responsive and helpful with every question we had and Mark was gracious in orienting us to the property and cottage upon our arrival. The cottage was small, comfortable and cozy which was perfect for our needs and the view was beautiful. The location was nice with easy access to Point Lobos and other trails. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property and would love to visit again.

I have stayed with friends at bothWhaler’s Cottage and Abalone Cottage several times. Each and every time has been a delight. The cottages are sublime and the location is unbelievably gorgeous. The hosts are wonderful.

Very over priced for the cottage. To many notes on the walls of what not to do. This could have been put in a House Rule letter on the table. Outside front and back could use an on property maintenance person. Walkway leading to the door on arrival littered with tree debris. Back patio same.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that your stay didn’t fully meet expectations. The property is professionally maintained on a weekly schedule; however, your visit coincided with a major California storm. Unfortunately, those conditions temporarily affected the outdoor areas despite our regular upkeep. Regarding pricing, your stay fell during a peak holiday period, and our rates were set in line with comparable properties in the area. We stand firmly behind the value of the home, particularly the unobstructed ocean views in Carmel, which are exceptionally rare. Lastly, we place signage in our property to aid our guests, it is in our Welcome Binder as well. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Beautiful View, confortable house and great hosts.

Comfortable and clean house. Comfortable beds and linens, very wl stocked kitchen with nice utensils. Quiet house and restful location. Nice shops nearby, loved the local stores and restraunts. Thank you for the bottle of wine it was nice to enjoy on our first nite at the house, watching the sunset. Will definitely return.

A little piece of Heaven on earth. Quiet, well stocked , very clean. Steps from beach. Close to grocery store, shopping , and sunsets are spectacular. We’ve been to 2 of the 3 cottages. The hosts are the nicest folks. Thank You!
