Ocean Getaway is the perfect vacation location with quick and easy access to the beach. This second-floor condo has great views of the ocean. This condo boasts a jetted bathtub in the primary bedroom that will help soothe and relax you after a fun-filled day in the sun. An outdoor dining set on one of the two balconies allows you to enjoy ocean breezes while sipping your morning coffee or dining on seafood and produce from the local area markets. Community Pool and Condo Complex are impeccably maintained. In addition to standard appliances and central air conditioning, Ocean Getaway has three TVs, two DVD players, and free WiFi. Linen and Towels Included in all rentals.

IMPORTANT INFO:

There are no grills for guest use at the Seaside Condo Complex and use of personal grills is not permitted anywhere on the premises, including decks, patios, and common use areas.
The community pool is open annually from mid-May to mid-September for guest use. Pool dates are weather permitting and at the Condo Association's discretion.
The Seaside Condos do not have an elevator.

The property management company contacted us a couple days prior to ensure we received the welcome email. We were arriving late and it was a nice confirmation that entering the property would be seamless, which it was. The condo was clean, spacious and well laid out, meaning bedrooms were tucked behind the main kitxhen/family room main area,So plenty of privacy and quiet space. The beach is one block from condo, so an easy walk to beach with chairs. Beach is beautiful and not crowded as it appears the only people visiting also own or rent. I did not see a big public parking lot. The condominium was barely filled as we were off season ,So it was an extra special treat. The parking lot is spacious, allowing for one additional guest. The pool area is a bit small/dated but a nice option if you’re not beach people or if you have small kids. The location is about 10 minutes from a main grocery store, gas station, restaurants. The only places that are near property are mom and pop type places, which adds to the charm. We were here for a college graduation and if you want a quieter venue compared to the main Virginia Beach, this place is a great option.

Beach stay

The location was perfect for my needs. I needed to be close to my business and gave a safe comfortable place for my 92 year old mother to stay. Only drawbacks no elevator and no walk in shower. The first I knew. The second wasn’t sure. I booked a different place with both for May. Thank you.

Check-in was simply a pick up of the keys and packet at the office, which was left on the porch for us. The kitchen was well appointed and worked well for breakfast and late night snacks. We did not use the stove, just the microwave and toaster. Beds were a little hard and the pillows had seen better days. My daughter was frightened by the ceiling fan in the second bedroom that only had high speed and was unbalanced producing a significant wobble. Overall, we enjoyed our time and would return in future years.

Mostly positive stay

Location was great, and condo was definitely suitable. Only complaint, and it might sound trivial, but the dryer never worked during our stay. We really banked on being able to do laundry during the trip so it really threw a wrench in our plans. We contacted the property manager the very first day. At first there was response but a maintenance tech never came out to fix it during our 5 day stay. No attempt to “make it right” during/after the stay either.

Stuff to change

The circle chair in the living room is very uncomfortable; ditch it. You should buy two occasional chairs and a small table for that side of the room. Four adults should not be forced into sitting side by side on the couch, especially while watching t.v. The d.r. table needs an overhead light. And it would be nice to have a game table. The baseboards need a cleaning. Also, a wall clock in the main living area would help. Beds are comfortable; kitchen well supplied. Most dissapointing is that the property rents from Monday to Sunday. We felt gypped out of that extra day.

We've stayed here twice! Easy access to the beach, uncrowded pool, lovely quiet area. Easy drive to Virginia Beach for the aquarium, minigolf, etc. FYI bring your own coffee and toilet paper. :)
