Great stay
So glad we found this place. I took my son to Minneapolis for a weekend of concerts, staying here was so much more relaxing and comfortable than staying downtown with the crowds. Everything we needed was provided, the place was spotless and the hosts were great.

Cozy indeed
Good communication, very clean place, welcoming hosts and convenient location, close to shops, lakes, highways etc. It’s a perfect size for a couple. I highly recommend this place.

Very comfortable place in a quiet residential area for a solo traveler or couple. Full kitchen has everything needed. This was a nice alternative to a few days in a hotel room for a similar price.

Golden accommodations in Golden Valley
Attractive decor. Extremely clean. Quiet and comfortable. Amenities plentiful and well-thought-out. Everything functioned perfectly. An ideal spot for two. Highly recommended.

This property is even better in person than it is in the photos, which is a rare and delightful surprise! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They are so communicative and provided so many thoughtful touches that made our stay more comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect, offering a peaceful and private feel while still being close to all the great shops, restaurants, and sights. It was the perfect home base for exploring the city and the surrounding area. We left feeling so refreshed and truly can't wait to come back. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.

In the neighborhood
Simple and easy process. This apartment was perfect for us and close to my husband's family. I can envision a longer stay. Nongs restaurant is perfect.

Very updated property
The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The whole apartment was very updated. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. Well located from downtown Minneapolis. We really enjoyed our visit.

Fabulous. Clean. Cozy place. Everything you might need. Even an umbrella. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice shower. Even a high towel bar and a low towel bar for different heights of guests. Heated floors. Wonderful kitchen. Lovely outdoor area. Best hosts. So kind and helpful. Great place for short or extended stays. Centrally located and great access to wherever you might want to go.

Extremely Comfortable
Barbara and Jim’s unit is extremely comfortable. It has all the latest fixtures and technology, plus comfy furniture and bedding. Do note that you will need a car to get around as there is minimal walk ability.

Our families have been in Minnesota for generations, since arriving from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway, Liechtenstein and Great Britain. You will see some old family photos that show some Minnesota history.
Jim has been a carpenter since the age of 13 and a remodeling contractor most of his adult life. Barbara loves family history, home-schooled some of our children and is the vice president in charge of the office and all technology for our remodeling business, Van Heel Dream Builders. We have six children between us, and nine grandchildren. We are now raising one of those grandchildren. We met each other in 1st grade!
We look forward to your visit! We are excited for you to see our brand-new Cozy Retreat. We hope you will enjoy staying here as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
We love meeting and getting to know our guests. We also love to travel, with Puerto Rico being one of our favorite places to go in the winter. Other times, we like to visit friends and family in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Toronto and Utah.
