Mixed Experience: Beautiful Upstairs, Filthy Downstairs & Poor ManagementThis property is essentially two houses in one, and our experience was just as split. The upstairs is wonderful, featuring fantastic views that truly set the property apart. The location is great—within a 15-minute walk to stores and restaurants, though the hilly terrain might challenge some. Inside, the upstairs has a well-appointed kitchen, a lovely long dining table, and a comfortable lounge area. However, the couch really needs a deep cleaning. Street noise is an issue; traffic was loud during day discussions with the balcony door open, and occasional motorcycles can wake guests at night. The downstairs was a completely different story. It was borderline filthy and desperately needs a deep clean. The baseboards were caked in thick dust, the grout was dirty, and it felt like a 2-star motel. While the kitchen and common area are nice, the bedroom layouts are poor. Only the king room has a closet; the other two lack closets or space for luggage racks. There is also a bunk room with two large bunk beds. The bathroom situation is lacking, with no towel racks for bath towels.Management was highly unprofessional. We arrived at the 4 PM check-in, but the cleaner didn't leave until 4:45 PM. We had to tell him not to mop just so our arriving group could start our weekend. When I notified the host, she completely ignored my message. Overall experience: 3 stars. But the price was 5 stars (2,000/night).
