'McGee By The Sea'- Ocean Front Kure Beach

Venez vous détendre et profiter de notre maison joliment décorée face à l'océan et spacieuse. Il a une grande cuisine bien équipée avec comptoirs en granit et de beaux planchers de bois franc. La salle à manger et la salle familiale peuvent accueillir 10 personnes confortablement et offrent une vue magnifique sur l'océan. Vous pouvez prendre votre café du matin ou un verre en aprÚs-midi, en vous relaxant sur le grand porche ou la grande terrasse. Sur le porche, il y a une table à manger et des berceuses pour se détendre. Les jeudis soirs, vous pourrez regarder des feux d'artifice de Carolina Beach sur notre terrasse. Nous avons des ventilateurs de plafond dans toutes les chambres. Il y a des lits queen dans trois chambres et les autres ont des lits jumeaux. Il y a WIFI dans toute la maison avec la télévision dans chaque chambre. Les autres caractéristiques comprennent une douche extérieure fermée avec eau chaude et froide, qui offre un endroit rafraßchissant pour se laver aprÚs une journée sur la plage et un passage privé menant à la plage. Les draps et le service de nettoyage sont fournis et nous fournissons des chaises de plage. Un gril à gaz est disponible pour utilisation. Profitez d'un jeu de famille dans la maison ou d'un jeu de cornhole à l'extérieur. Nous avons un grand terrain privé pour le stationnement de 6 voitures ou plus. La promenade du Carolina Beach propose des magasins, des restaurants et des activités estivales telles que des festivals, des feux d'artifice et de la musique live. Le fort NC Aquarium Fisher est un endroit idéal pour profiter de l'aprÚs-midi. En outre, Southport est à seulement un trajet en ferry. Kure Beach propose un marché chaque mardi avec différents vendeurs.

This is our second stay at McGee by the Sea and we like the location, the house and the easy communication with the owner. We also enjoyed surprisingly nice weather in Kure Beach even with Hurricane Erin offshore.

Little House on the Ocean

Check in was smooth and easy. Facilities were as described. The house was clean and had everything needed for a lovely stay. The owner was very attentive and kind when we contacted her late one night. I will highly recommend this property for a wonderful holiday.

Perfect!

Our family loved this house.....it's well maintained, comfortable all around with room for close famiy time or quiet personal time. The kids enjoyed the beach and playing under the house. We walked to Kure Beach Pier, the Tiki Bar and to the Boardwalk each day...even in the rain. Looked for Venus flytraps at Carolina Beach State Park, went to Hang Ten, the Veggie Wagon, the Seawitch and Uncle Vinnies...had Seafood Boil from CFSB....We love this area so much.

Great family vacation house

The owners of this property are wonderful to work with. Check in/check out process is easy. We love that this house looks like a beach house, but has comfortable beds and is very clean. This was the perfect house for our family beach vacation and we loved our stay in Kure/Carolina beach!

Great house

Great property & location. Our only criticism is not of the property but of the beach itself. There was a substantial drop off in the water that made it treacherous as the waves tended to crash onto the beach. There is also a “storm drain” that extends into the ocean directly behind the house that posed a danger as the life guards were constantly having to steer people away . Lifeguards were definitely a plus!

Plentiful amenities

Best rental in 5 years. The beds are comfortable, not overly soft. The linens are upscale. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The gas grill was a plus. Exquisite view of the ocean and dunes. Central to Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Not overly crowded on the beach. We will definitely plan a return visit to this house.

A little surprise

This was a beautiful, well maintained property with an excellent view of the ocean and a private deck to the beach. My only criticism is finding out beach towels and beach chairs were not include. I don't feel this was clearly stated on the posting, as one of the pictures shows beach chairs on the deck and one of the reviews mentions that it was great to have the chairs and towels included. Please understand that two of our party flew and our car was packed with supplies for everyone. I think a few chairs and towels should be included. We have rented houses for the past 20 years including several beach houses and this was a first. This is my only negative comment I can make. It is a beautiful home!

Pros: nice layout, clean, great location Cons: Ant problem in the sandy areas (some got into my daughters car even though she parked a good 5-6 feet from sand area), saw several roaches on the porch and 3 inside the house.

Perfect Vacation Home

This property has everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation. Having the towels and linens provided were a definite plus. Beach chairs and lots of outside toys provided. The underneath porch area was perfect for the kids to pay in on rainy days and to be out of the sun. This is not our first time staying here and WON'T be our last. We loved it.

There is great fishing right out front. Walk a few yards north or south and swim near the sand bars that are usually present. Take a 15-20 minute walk south to the Kure Beach Pier and enjoy local restaurants as well as an Arcade. A quick drive takes you to the Fort Fisher Aquarium as well as Fort Fisher Civil War Museum. You can hike or ride your bike through the Carolina Beach State Park. Wilmington is just 20 minutes away, where you can dine at the Historic riverfront with outside dining options. The USS North Carolina Battleship is just across the river. Take a day trip by ferry to the fishing village of Southport. Enjoy antiquing, dining and great shops.
