Amazing views of Deer Lake and Boyne Mountain from the windows of the awesome Ranch House. Only 5 minutes from World known Boyne City and Boyne Mountain resorts. Northern Michigan country atmosphere. please note that this is a 1994 house and dose show some age such as some stains on counter tops and worn trimming. Bathroom tubs and toilets have hard water and well water mineral stains. The house is professionally cleaned after each guest and bedding is washed in 140 degrees water with detergent . The kitchen has basic cooking supplies. In time, the bathrooms will be remodeled and will be updated on the VRBO site . NO INTERNET SERVICE is available at the house as no provider is available to bring service to the hill at this time. Cell phone service always seems to be good at the house.
The property is great for us, and the host is an excellent host. The fact that we can have our dog with usis vary important. Our host has made many improvements and continues to offer a quality place without a lot of the hassle of some of the other places we have stayed in the Boyne area.
Great location for everything in the Boyne area. Very quiet and peaceful. We rode the Michigan Mountain Mayhem bike ride and the location couldn't be beat.
the house was in a perfect location. located right between the mountain and the town. it is a no-frills kind of place, but for a group like mine that just needed a place to sleep between skiing, it was absolutely perfect!
The owner was really responsive to all of our needs. They property was a bit dated, but there are updates planned and we would definitely like to stay there again.
What a cutesy cottage/cabin! My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here while we snowboarded at Boyne Mountain for MLK weekend! It was extremely convenient that it was less than a 10 min drive.. I mean their front yard is literally the back of the mountain across a lake! The home is described exactly how itâs listed. You can tell the house is professionally cleaned before each guest! The host is so so kind and extremely responsive. The check in and check out process was the EASIEST experience Iâve ever encountered. Like EVER. Some folks commented on how âoutdatedâ the property was but we didnât think so. Itâs what gave the home its character and cozy/winter cabin vibes. We loved the DVD movies they had available, and while we didnât watch any, my friends and I sure had an amazing and nostalgic time going through each one of them! I personally appreciated the bookshelf of history literature they had though :) There isnât WiFi available but that was the least of our concerns as everyone can afford to look up from their screens. No issues at all with cell service either. The only thing we were bummed about was not being able to experience their HUGE outdoor space bc of the snowstorm :( everything was pretty much buried in 5 feet of snow lol but we are already planning to come back again in the summer to fully experience that S T U N N I N G lake view!
Perfect location between the mountain and the town. Communication with the owner was amazing; responded quickly when we needed something and was happy to help. As in previous reviews, the home is a bit dated, but renovations are underway. During our stay, we could see the detailed woodworking being added to the home. In speaking with the owner, new windows and doors are also planned. For those wanting/needing internet, this property would not be for you. There is no plan for internet, but the owner does provide some DVDâs and games for entertainment.
If you just need a place to stay that isnât fancy. This has all you need. The kitchen has the basic needs refrigerate, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. There was everything i needed to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. I did bring a large pot to make chili as i donât expect anyone to supply such a large pot. The owner did offer to bring anything i needed, I just chose not to ask. The communication was above any I had in the past.
